Artie wasn't immune to problems on and off the field, none of them catastrophic his single mindedness and almost unique talent matched that of Joey . . . no-one ever stood over Artie with ball or fists

Please. The best forward in the world doesn't get completely nullified in two straight games after talking it up big especially prior to game 3 and refusing to put the team first. He can be very destructive on his day but he's a long way from the best forward in the world.

Also add in that, despite the public talk, Artie was a dedicated and hard trainer when he played. His only issue was he liked a good feed. His team mates, especially at the Roosters and Parramatta, said he would train the house down every session.
