These guys didn't play for the f**king New York Giants and they're not commentating on Green Bay vs Denver in Week 9 of the NFL. In terms of analysis, well yes, NFL coverage is head and shoulders above Australian sport. Rugby league coverage is the bastard son banished to siberia in comparison. Rugby League has been structured for ever, but how many times do you hear the terms goodball, 3 man, 4 man, A-B-C defenders, 7 split block, strings 2, cage d, kick-chase +2, etc. I could go on about the actual terms coaches and players use in daily parlance in rugby league which are never used in commentary here.

On SMith and Johns, I'm sure they try and be as professional as they can going into the commentary box. But come on! These guys put their body on the line in origin countless times and were commentating on one of the best matches in Origin history. You don't think their allegiance is not going to shine through in this case?
