...maybe I should apply for the Kiwis coaching role now that they only have a month to fill it before the 4 nations. I reckon I'd do better than Gary Kemble.

Haha Kearney is worse than Cappy!

At least the lads will have someone who looks out for the lads, as a group of lads, and they'll get a five year plan and all the structures they can poke a stick at

While I'm not jumping for joy and am not convinced that SK is the answer, I wouldn't go writing him off based on the Eels experience.

He came from the ultra structured Storm side and tried to apply the structures without the necessary cattle to pull it off. Since then he's spent a considerable amount of time under Bennett who is a vastly different coach and more of a man manager. Kearney will be a different coach from the one he was at the Eels. Whether it's enough to get anything other than the usual from us is another thing.

In any case, if SK can come up with 3 set moves then he'll be ahead of where Cappy had us. If he can teach half the players how to catch and tackle that would be even better. Might make teams earn a few wins.

The problem is that he comes across as a very insipid, uninspiring human being who struggled at Parramatta to deal with the players he had, and couldn't develop a game plan to save himself. He lost the dressing room very early on....and that was a weak squad. I can't see him commanding the respect of a strong willed and honestly very talented Warriors squad, especially if he tries to implement his so-called structures on them.

I look forward to hearing "again" and "the lads" 100 times each in his press conferences just like the good old days

If he can have the players playing to their strengths and not force them into a style they aren't comfortable with he might do ok. Surely he would've learnt from some mistakes he made at the eels.

He has a fair chance of taking over from Bennett. Why leave the cushy position at the Donkeys to go to the coach killing Warriors?
