I reckon he’s hilarious, even if he’s a bit over the top.

The worst commentator is Cronk. He doesn’t say anything of interest and his voice is honestly unacceptable.
I think he should be decent enough to resign and let someone who is more deserving earn a few bucks.

I find many commentators annoying for one reason or another. Matty Russell is probably my favourite so it was nice to see some love for him early in this thread. Of course, he doesn't toe the sensationalism and C O N T R O V E R S Y line Fox love so he was demoted a long time ago. Good to see him back occasionally.

A few Australian commentators are just shocking. If there's one thing the Poms do better, it's sports commentary. They have charisma, they stay on point, they don't get distracted by how funny they think they are, and they don't talk too much. I'm watching England vs India right now and the Sky Sports broadcast is leagues ahead of anything we have.

I think Dan Ginnane is the best caller at the moment. He's not perfect as I think he flogs the goodbye scream too much, but he's got gravitas.

Voss has it too but as others have already alluded, the games he calls these days feels like a Coney Island version of rugby league

The post was going so well until you rated Vossy. If Ginnane is near the top of the ranks in commentators then that's a tragedy.
