Agreed. This board has let the club slide into this mess, do they deserve the trust of the punters again?
I know that many would do this due to love of the club, which is completely understandable. But at what point, give this has been done in the past, do we look towards building a club which does not rely on periodic charity for survival.
I think it is a good idea, but the money should not go directly to the board. Set it up as a trust. Disperse the money to specific projects, i.e. smoking deck loan etc, on the condition of the club providing business plans. If they can't provide that, give it to the McGrath foundation.
