Who cares what kennedy thinks about anything. He knoes nothing, adds nothing and is an all round waste of space. Lucky he doesnt waste much.

The NRL is the reason we'll go under. A derby game on a saturday when sundays are proven to draw crowds is beyond me. our only sunday home game so far will be round 13, half way though the season.

We have 4 home games with the time slot yet to be announced. I can foresee us not getting any sunday home games in those 4 the NRL will be laughing. f**ken pricks. They want a team too relocate, yet they don't even have the $8million to do it. Why not try and save the sharks with better timeslots?....it'll save you assholes $8million of money you don't even have right now.

If the people on here are holding out money because they dont want the current borad to get it, then the sharks deserve to die.
there is no negotiating folkes.
You're in or they are out.
simple.

They have to resign and a new board stand for election before i send them any money, otherwise we'll all be back here in 2 years saying the same thing again.

Their ineptitude doesn't warrant bailing out so they can carry on down the same merry path they have trod for years.

Agreed. This board has let the club slide into this mess, do they deserve the trust of the punters again?

I know that many would do this due to love of the club, which is completely understandable. But at what point, give this has been done in the past, do we look towards building a club which does not rely on periodic charity for survival.

I think it is a good idea, but the money should not go directly to the board. Set it up as a trust. Disperse the money to specific projects, i.e. smoking deck loan etc, on the condition of the club providing business plans. If they can't provide that, give it to the McGrath foundation.

Don't expect much. The club has been reeling from pillar to post like a drunken sailor since Gow and Lang were shown the door. The fact that the bad news was revealed after nominations for the Board had closed shows the determination to hold power.
I just hope they have the solution for an immediate and successful transformation to a succesful club, and not just the bandaid solutions which often appear to be the case.

If it has been said earlier in this thread i apologise but

Geyer pushed for the sharks to have more sat or sun afternoon games, saying families were more inclined to take kids out to an afternoon match, which is common sense.

Kennedy says he is missing the big picture and whats 5000 more fans on a saturday afternoon compared to an extra 100,000 watching the game on fox if its a sat night compared to an afternoon.

I think it is kennedy missing the big picture, if TV crowds are more important than match crowds then the clubs who play in crap ground attendance slots so fox can have better ratings should be compensated through TV rights.

No good saying they can't get a crowd, because the reason they can't get a crowd is fox wants them to watch TV instead.
