Smh has had the best rugby league journalists over the last few years. Mascord, Brent read, carayannis (until he went to news limited) are all actual rugby league fans and journalists as opposed to gossip columnists.

Webster's a great RL writer and for the 1 apparent puff piece he's done on AFL he's written a hundred good NRL articles. Chucking tantrums coz he might happen to like more than 1 sport fmd

Webster is not a rugby league fan, he should be at the daily Tele with the rest of the clowns. Shit article devoid of any factual evidence of GWS' supposed growing popularity!

Taste of things to come?

Greater Western Sydney hosts the Swannies in a ding-dong derby on Sunday afternoon at Spotless Stadium and some predict it could be a grand final dress rehearsal.

Former AFL boss Andrew Demetriou hopes so. If not this year, in the next three years before ANZ Stadium is permanently refigured.

Asked if an all-Sydney grand final would be a beautiful thing, Demetriou told this column: "It would and they need to do it before they change ANZ Stadium into a rectangular stadium. Or they could play it at SCG, which wouldn't be a bad thing, either."

A sell-out of about 22,000 is expected for Sunday's clash. While critics point to GWS's smallish crowds, the club has a long-term view and already envisages a new stand being added to the existing stadium. http://www.smh.com.au/sport/why-do-...nue-to-bully-adam-goodes-20160609-gpf0qn.html

Is Webster an AFL Journo these days?

Did anyone get their 8 page 'Battle of the Fudge' liftout in the Telecrap??

Picture upon picture of some stick insect holding a Sharon and looking off into the distance like some prestigious statue.

Are they serious about another stand ha ha, They seriously struggle to sell a fifth (and I mean sell as in the actual attendance, not the numbers they grasp from thin air, or 90% of giveaways) of that stand.
