Not sure about that.
Bulldogs will have Crichton, & possibly Kiraz depending on injuries to Toó & Lomax.
Canberra will probably have Young & Horsburgh.
Warriors will have Barnett.
Melbourne will have Munster, Grant, Coates & potentailly Leiero.
Surely Kiraz can't get in a backline if Lomax and Turbo are fit. Big if on Turbo though, I admit.

Lots of middle backrowers yep but Nanai was the only genuine edge player they had last year, although Loiero was 18th man in game 3 from memory.

But Billy seems to like Capewell's ability to cover centre at a pinch like he did in game 2 last year, and as he's been doing for us. I dont think (?) they have any other backrowers who can do that so he could get a crack. And he's definitely playing better this year than last (missed tackle count aside).
Capewell is playing better this year? I know he's been good the last couple of weeks but man, he was in the DMs (dishonourables) most weeks for the first six or so. QLD is struggling if they need him.

Has big Josh in-retired?

Horsborough perhaps too

No, you're right. I forgot because there was talk about him coming back for a tour of duty last year.

Horsburgh might be there on form.

I saw Corey Parker's predicted 17 earlier today and he had Beau Fermor in that bench backrower spot.

I hadn't even thought of him and yea, fair to say that makes much more sense than Capewell lol

Ali dropped is a Webster special
Yeah it’s a tough call. I am guessing Ali strayed from the game plan.

Webster is so annoying at times but has delivered good results so far. Still a long way to go though - let’s see how we go for the rest of the season

Webster on Martin

He’s going well,” said Webster. “It’s all different for him.

“He’s nine cover, 13 cover, half cover and fullback cover. As soon as Charnze got sin-binned [against the Canberra Raiders], we wanted to move him and get him straight on the field.

“I thought he did a decent job, he’s got to keep working. It’s hard, during one week you don’t get reps in every single one of the positions you’re covering, because there’s not enough time.

“But he’s doing a good job, trying to do his best there.”

Weird statement that one above for me, because I think TMM is in the top 2 halves at the club, and CHT would probably be better cover at 9 and 13 than TMM is

Yea pretty lukewarm assessment of his performances too. And his comments about TMM's contract situation didnt suggest they were rushing to re-sign him either.

Sitting third on the table, I'm not sure now is the right time to question him,
BUT I do fear recently he's making decisions which may not be the best.
Dropping TT and Ali, not giving Healey a run of games

It does sound crazy, then you up level it by the side running first binning their halfback for a shinier option. It’s the crazy year of rugby league

Webster obviously knows much more about coaching Rugby League than any of us and certainly more than me. Honestly, it he wants Berry in the side, I get it. But at the expense of Leiataua? I don’t get it.

Never doubted the guy.

Nah, have to give credit where it's due. He baffles me with his decisions some times, but I'd like to believe the style of play which has frustrated me has been in the service of the style of play that's exhilarating me now.

There's no doubt that we have increased self-belief, particularly in our defence and our ability to get back into the contest.

Does anyone know what’s been up with Ali? I assume there’s been something behind his demotion in the last couple of games. But anyway I think Webster has earned our trust with the continued results.

when the process delivers you can indeed trust the process.

They mentioned muscle tightness in last week’s team release as the reason he missed Cup the week before, and why he only made extended bench v Sharks.

Haven’t seen anything since then.

You see I'm still in denial. When non-Warriors fans bowl up to me in town with an 'up the Wahs!' (non-Warriors fans always use 'Wahs) I go, 'oh, yeah, cool, but, you know, we're actually not very good'.

I'm starting to think we are quite good now though. You can't be in denial too long, can you? The results are speaking for themselves.

Reading between the lines on some interviews, sounds like Webster felt Ali lacked confidence against Canberra, wasn't hitting (either in defense or offense) with the same intensity as he had before the injury. So they wanted him to go back to Cup and get some confidence back. He did play this week, but I don't know how he went - didn't feature much in the highlights I saw
