Around Blacktown and Parramatta (NSW) there is little knowledge that the game even exists. The fact is that die hard league fans can find out about it but the fringe fans (of which there are many) don't know and so that just sucks. These are the people that will ensure success of the title and more money for the game producers. And yet the level of advertising is appalling.

Why don't you help out the cause and spread the word then (assuming you haven't already)?

so many people have pre ordered it around my area (Central Coast, NSW) it's crazy. I haven't got around to it yet, i'm too late.
Geez mate, glad you didn't buy one. You'll get one off Leagueunlimited - all updaters will. Members will get a handy discount.

Is there pre-ordering available off LU? Damn! I put my order in with GPStore last night.

I bought both the PS2 and PC versions - how much discount would I have got Willow?

Well, I have. But I don't think it is my job to run around Parramatta Westfield's telling everyone about the game. Surely advertising is needed.

I just spoke tothe distributors again today. Its been a conversation entering it's second year now.
Looks like we can expect a preview around late September and a release supposedly in October... but lets say November.
According to David Robles we're right for stock and no one at Leagueunlimited should miss out.
The discount hasnt been worked out because we still havent seen the invoice, but it will be worthwhile.

i was told today by EB in sydney metro area November 1st for ps2 and until i hear anything official that date sounds the most likely from what i gather.

as for the advertising arguement, word of mouth, i'd imagine, is the best way for people to find out about this game. however, considering that you could throw a tissue over the amount of screenshots we have seen and that generally the way people find out about this game (speaking from my situation) is by their own initiative and searching the internet for information, i'd expect word of mouth to pick-up closer to release and even after release when people realise this isn't some cheesy "lets throw a cheep ass NRL game together and sell it to some suckers" game (as my first impressions were).

If you are going to take what your EB says until you hear something official, you should also take into account every other date EB has said.. which includes everything from 'its been canned' to sometime next year I think..
