Hull KR have agreed to release full-back Greg Eden from the final year of his contract to enable him to make a move to Australia.
Eden, 23, who was famously dubbed England's Billy Slater by Nathan Brown two years ago during their time together at Huddersfield, is thought to have secured a contract with Brisbane Broncos.
The Castleford-born player has made 37 appearances for the Robins since joining them from Huddersfield two years ago.

'I've really enjoyed my time at Hull KR and I wish everybody here all the best for the future,' said Eden, who had loan spell at Salford earlier this season after losing the full-back spot to Ben Cockayne.
'It's a great club and I'm sure good things are around the corner under Chris Chester but I didn't feel personally that I could turn this opportunity down.
'I've always had an ambition to play in the NRL and it's a great chance for me to go over there and hopefully improve my game.'

Hull KR chief executive Mike Smith said: 'We have retained an option on Greg's services should he return to Super League but he makes the move to the NRL with our best wishes.
'We have been planning for his departure as we look to strengthen our squad for 2015 and have already recruited heavily in the outside backs for next season.
'I'd like to thank Greg for his service to Hull KR over the past two years and wish him good luck with his new club.'

Can never have enough depth players, he can probably play wing as well. We have plenty of cap space hope it goes through.

people carry about all our fullbacks but it's really simple once you assess each player

Hoffman is a winger who thinks he's a fullback
Barba played fullback for us but did f**k all, he's gotten better with every game for us at 5/8
Milford is a fullback, has great ballplaying skills as well as electric footwork

I would suggest Eden is a depth player who can probably play on the wing as well (don't know, never seen or heard of him)

There's no way Boyd is coming

The last time the Broncos won a premiership they had Hodges at fullback, a five eight who started at fullback in Lockyer and a fullback and future fullback on the wings in Hunt and Boyd.

The drought has been far too long, they're just reverting to what worked last.

Would he really sign for Brisbane if he wasnt guaranteed to be playing first grade?

Step 1 - Buy up all the fullbacks so no other team will have one.
Step 2 - Devise a game plan that revolves around putting up the bomb to end every set of six.

If none of the other teams has a fullback, Brisbane are certain to score hundreds of try's and win the competition.

Wayne is a genius!

Barry Toohey in yesterday's paper. Broncos can only give him 300k so want the Knights to pay him 300k next year as well...even though if he uses his get out clause the Knights don't owe him anything

i suspect toohey is mistaken. boyd has the clause in his contract so the knights dont owe him shit. boyd even announced he'd be leaving the knights before Wayne did

i'd like boyd to step out of bennetts shadow, titans could use him.

as for the broncos master plan, fullback is seen as such an important position these days, if you can carry 4 or 5 of them in your backline you're sure to be successful

Signing some guy from England that nobody has heard of isn't exactly "Big Time" though is it?
