Another game....

Another game without Walsh. Another game we don't score more then 2 tries. Another game where we have terrible last tackle options.

Sadly he is our best 7 we have atm. We need to find a 6 to go with his style that runs it. Yes he barely runs it but Burns only had 3 hitups yesterday. Siejka's done bugger all to show he's the one.

If he has to play (and he shouldn't because he's rubbish) he should never be allowed to kick from our half. Coote is a much better long kicker

I don't want him in. I wait for the day he doesn't play and we rack up a big score. That will once and for all put him to pasture. Until that happens he will always be our number 7

I don't think Seikja is the answer either, I like the looks of Toby Evans in Toyota Cup, I would personally run Evans with Austin at Windsor for the rest of the year firstly to get Evans used to running with men and secondly to get used to each others game,

Walsh is junk, the rest of this season is irrelevant. Who the best option is right now I don't care, working out who is the best future option and getting them some experience is what matters.

:lol: I take you didn't watch Siejka in the 20's yesterday? He was terrible. Hopefully it was an off day and not his confidence taking a battering. That's the risk we take playing players that aren't ready. I want him the finish the season on a high in NYC. Start next year flying for Windsor then come in to NRL

Yeah but we 100% know that Walsh isn't the answer

Then we need to p1ss him off and get someone else. We have 4 halves on contract for next year. So can't carry anymore but no one else is standing up either. We struggle without him and aren't much better then average with him.

I personally like Taumata, but I don't think that he should be our permanent half. Siejka shouldn't be rushed into NRL. He needs to finish the rest of the season in u20's then next season start off at Windsor, then bring him back up. I like Austin as a half, but I don't think he will get in. And with Burns probably going to leave before next season, We have Walsh, Siejka, Austin and Taumata. If Burns and Walsh leaves, that means we have 3 options. Austin/Taumata could come off the bench. That leaves us with only Siejka. I like Evans, but I doubt he will get a run with us in first grade. Maybe we need to buy a half.

Where is everyone at with Austin?

I'm just not sure where he fits in at the moment

I like him as a backrower but he is still missing basic tackles. He was defending on the right that had all the issues against Parra. Yesterday was no better. So until that improves Windsor or the bench

Same as Graham

IMO he is a lock.

Has some skills but he is a lock. Hope we don't make the same wrong assessment and he turns into a potential rep backrower elsewhere.

Speaking of Graham. I was cringing through the whole 80 minutes of the Sharks v Broncos game on Friday night as Graham pulled off big play after big play. Best performance I've seen from him. He'll be playing for Australia in a few years.

I agree. Austin is a lock. The Lewis in the second row experiment didn't work for whatever reason this year, but I still think it is his best position.
