Overall, a very solid performance. We seemed to have that defence of old, and our attaking quality carried on from last week. Still a lot of improvement in our attack needed though.

I thought we were in control from early in the game. Soward played well but lacks the heart to be a fullback. Drinkwater gave a beautiful ball to the wing but seemed to play with a hesitancy and not really directing or demanding the ball (which is fair enough for a young player!).

I don't think he has the courage to be a fullback. I had a heart attack when he just let that ball bounce, but the team as a whole is having problems with contesting high balls anyway.

First half near perfect, second half made me nervous but they hung in for a great win. Well done. Soward and Fein starting to come good, but please no Soward at fullback. Do we move Morris there or go for Cummins? Doubt we will see Beale for a week or two.

IMO, we should leave the two best wingers in the competition in their best positions. Quinlan or Cummins should get a shot!

Prime opportunity to bring Dugan in while Beale is out IMO!

Leave the wingers on the wing and play one of the young fellas there would be my go.
Pretty keen to see what Steve Price will do but.
And hopefully we can blood Drinkwater and get him more comfortable.

Isn't it great to have some positive things to think and say. Credit to Price. And, yes I agree leave Morris and nightie alone if Beale is a long term injury then Dugan Quinlan or Cummins at full back.

On another note how good was Coops hit on the Traitor, you could see he wanted to whack the pea hearted merkin

I think that's a bit harsh mate. If there was any way to leave the club, he couldn't have done it better. He fulfilled his contract, he gave the club early notice, but most importantly, he left after making a huge contribution to us. If he wants to follow Bennett because he thinks it will be the best for his career, then you can't blame him. It's not like he had any emotional attachment to the Saints like for example Gasnier did.

It was a rugged win.

Nonetheless, it was good to get. It would've been disappointing if the boys rested on their laurels after last weeks great performance.

The atmosphere will be different at training (I assume). They'll get confidence from two-wins-in-a-row.

Now to jag one against the Tigers to make it three-in-a-row (something we haven't done since 2011).

GO THE SAINTS!!!

We should beat the Tigers easily. True test of character. Our forwards should steam roll that pack of merkins. Merrin running at Anasta? Hello boys.

Don't know about being a great win. It was a very solid first half but a less than impressive second half.

The boys did enough.

But I would have liked to see them with more go forward and working harder for repeat sets - they seem to forget this after half time.

Any clues as to why the fresher bench forwards were held back after the half time break?

Boyd is no traitor. He is a mercenary, and a damned good one at that. But Coops f**king leveled him lol

On Drinkwater, I thought it was a very well orchestrated debut. Mind you, the coach really had no choice after Beale was injured - Soward was moved to fullback in defence and Drinkwater was given his chance.

IMO, it was the perfect debut for a young player who needed a taste of NRL football. He didn't stuff up and will be better for the run.
