Another pom heading to NRL

I'm more excited about the likes of Matty Russell. From a development point of view there's no point bringing Hall, Tomkins or Roby over now - each of them are already easily in the top tier of their respective positions. They're fantastic players who would no doubt star in the NRL, but now it's better that they stay in the ESL and help raise the standard over there. The players I'd love to see over here off the top of my head are guys like Bateman and Hardaker - established first graders but with a lot of development still left.

Actually for the first time in over a decade more players have joined the NRL from SL than the other way around this year.

Sorry, I meant a link that confirms the signing. That article is still speculative. Briscoe to the Sharks has been on the table for around 18 months and first talk on UK forums and twitter for 2013 started a month ago.

The Sharks have learnt from the Snowden debacle not to announce before a player has actually inked the papyrus. I'm confident no deal has been done yet. Terms agreed agreed to, yes, but it hasn't been sealed.

More poms need to head down under if their International team is going to have success against Australia and New Zealand. James Graham, Sam Burgess currently and Gareth Ellis and Adrain Morley formally just to name a few have had success in the NRL
