Roberts is a lanky centre, who is also able to play in the backrow, has been in discussions with the Dragons for the past fortnight, and he is likely to join the club in 2004.

Another year, another great recruitment drive. The last high profile player we signed as Michael O'Connor in the early 80's

The jury's out on Long - another chronically injured player is just what we need. Not.

On the plus side, we have managed to retain a number of the payers we wanted to & if The Face follows Thommo's lead & takes a pay-cut & accepts a reasonable wage, we'll be able to build the nucleus of a side that is capable of winning the Premiership.

Does anyone have any info on Corey Payne?? He's meant to be shit-hot & C*nterbury are apparently spewing he left them...

Cheers,
Ben S.

Any relation to Kevin, Ron or Amos?

The jury is still out on Corey Payne but all indications are that he a player to watch next year. Sounds like another injury coming on.... ;-)

I am actually very happy with the signing of Long. He has experience which is always good, but what I am really looking foward to, is his charges at the line. This year we have really lacked go-foward at times and Long, if injury free will add that much needed spark to our fowards.

Look at it in this way also....you are the opposition fowards, you've been battling with Bailey and Ryles and Finally they get a rest....now you face....Long and Sims. A bloke who will knock the wind out of you everytime he runs the ball, and a younger version of Jason Ryles.
When they finally get a rest...back comes Bailey and Ryles.

As long as these players stay injury and suspension free....I think we will go well this season.

Dont forget that Long made City Origin last year.

Well that's just it, isn't it. Do we really think that this is going to happen?? I mean, c'mon!!

Injuries & discipline have been two of the major factors hampering the potential of the side for the last three years. What makes us think things will improve next season??

Cheers,
Ben S.
