The touchie was telling the ref it was a penalty, hence why Vunivalu was trying to grab it off him. Both Boyd and Vunivalu knew it was a Melbourne penalty.
Boyd did what most players do in holding the ball away, and Vunivalu did what most players do and pushed him when he threw it away.
Thaiday did what not many players do and poleaxed Vunivalu.

That's better no name, except Vunivalu shoved him before he threw it away, it wasn't a response.

Wasn't the first hint of niggle from the Storm towards the Broncos captain either just quietly.

I hope you're not advocating 'victim blaming' here, just because Thaiday is a grub he will deserve it? tsk, tsk.
Karma not a concept your familiar with? See there is no blame in what I stated, you really are struggling with this concept. It must be quite a crush you have on Sammy.

Think you need to watch it again mate, Boyd throw it away just before Vunivalu pushes him

I see what you're saying, but he'd committed to the shove before Boyd had the ball behind his back and flicked it.

But then he is a clairvoyant so maybe he knew what to expect. Or maybe he was going to shove him over regardless because Boyd didn't hand him the ball before a decision had even been made?

No that's not how it happened. He clearly puts it behind him and flicks it away before Suli goes in with the push.

Before you say?

Suliasi is making contact as Boyd is flicking it away. Vunivalu had already committed to the action before the ball had even been thrown.

I'll accept simultaneous, I won't accept it was a response.

Suli has went in to push him after he put it behind his back. But Boyd still threw it away before the push. Why are we even talking about that push anyway? Nothing Suli done compares to what Thaiday done. Vunivalus push was soft as compared to Thaidays

Because it was the third separate incident where the Storm had done something grubby to Darius.

It was a ploy and while Thaiday's response was excessive it wasn't exactly uncalled for either.

Please what were these three incidents you speak of. The Broncos were by far the more grubbier team.

We've got the unnecessary Vunivalu incident right there, we've got Billy firing an elbow at Darius and Asofa-Solomona interfering with the ruck then right before the Vunivalu incident we've got Billy all over Darius like a cheap suit.

And I'm sure they were, but Melbourne aren't exactly cleanskins.

Hahah using the oppositions supposed grubby actions to justify their own

Big Smug, 2 wrongs never make a right in any situation. Stop trying to use things that happened before and after said incident to justify Sams blatant grubby tactics.

f**k me

You mean when Boyd tackled Slater and wouldn't let him get up? Yeah that's real grubby from the Storm. I'm not saying the Storm are cleanskins cause their not, every team does grubby shit every game.

No, the incident I'm referring to is when Boyd twisted Slater and Billy replied with a swift elbow to the cheek of Darius. As soon as it landed Asofa-Solomona ripped Boyd off the tackle and nothing could be done.

You want to talk about overreactions, there was your garden variety right there.
