Just thinking maybee it's time to give this guy a run. Does anyone know how he's been going for Wenty? I thought the club had a high regard for him?

You have to wonder about Andersons opinion of him, dont you?

People have big wraps on him, dummy half has been a problem so much so that makeshift players are being used while Mitchell plays at Wenty.

Looking at the team announced this week I'd be feeling quite jaded if I was Anthony Mitchell. After seeing M Keatings last game for Wenty (v Sharks) I was far from impressed.

I'm not calling for his head but surely some of the decisions DA has made this week need to be questioned.

No Mitchell and he names O'Hanlon and Peletelese who I both hear good things of, but why wouldn't name Mitchell honestly.

I hope M.Keating is back to Wenty next week he better not be back in FG after this week. In a time where we need a dummy half you think he would give someone we haven't seen a chance but instead he chooses someone we have seen and offers absolutely nothing.

Looks as though Ando doesn't rate Mitchell at all, i mean can't get a crack and behind keating who apparently has been average for Wenty.

Keating should be sent to wenty for the rest of the year and mitchell given a shot.If its for only 20 mins than why not.
Anderson side looks passae.Its the side that wasnt winning and he changed and didnt go any better so he is going back..I guess a man with out of any other options

Haven't seen anything of note in Mitchell's game in reggies when I've caught it this year or last year to suggest he's ready for firsts, even for a bench spot.

Would like to know what the wraps on him are, other than just he happens to be wearing a jersey in our lower grade? Is he fast, can he pass accurately, does he have a kicking game, does he back up looking for offloads or call the attacking shots in the forwards, can he pull off 40 tackles etc etc? If not, then *shrugs*... no great loss imo.

The fact that DA kept Mitchell at 9 when he dropped MK was enough to suggest that he did not want to stifle his development. As for using Mitchell in this weeks game, how many rookies do you want in a team FFS ? We'll probably get our pants pulled down as it is. All experienced hands on deck with rookies filling the holes is the sensible way to deal with it IMO.

Maybe Mitchell isn't in DA's long term plans, like someone said earlier he may be leaving at seasons end if that is the case why give 1st grade experance here, let his new club do it.

Agreed.

Especially when they are going on a road trip to NZ, against a full strength Warriors team.

God help us if its wet (which is more than likely).

Warriors were lucky against the Roosters, but, whenever Mannering is playing I tend to tip them at home - he seems to be a bit of an X factor in their team.

Should be an interesting one this sunday. Depends which eels tean turns up. Being a warriors and eels fan i dont mind so much what happens. So long as they both make an end of season charge and sneak into the 8.

I simply asked the question & asked how he was going for wenty. I didn't say he was our saviour or anything! I would not have suggested we start him but bring him off the bench. Just a thought but if he hasn't been going well enough then don't pick him. Simple.

he's been one of our more consistant performers this year but probably not done enough for the coaching staff to throw him an opportunity..
