Any news on Galea / Morris / Payten?

Wondering if anything further has surfaced over these 3?

Galea: he is being shopped around and was mentioned for Canberra but Harrison would presumably have filled that spot.

Morris: he was fishing around for something else in 09 but later said he was staying (possibly no interest from elsewhere).

Payten- wanted an early release to go to Wales but WT’s wouldn’t play ball, instead WT’s wanted to negotiate an extension to his contract. Hope that comes out well for both parties- I wouldn’t want a pe’ed off Payten stuck at the club next year, with no release to play in Wales but no further extension to his contract- would not be a pleasant environment.

BTW- how long do we have to suffer Simmons for? I know Teflon Tim is signed up to 2010 but cant find anything for Simmons. Same as Teflon since he is there at Teflon’s pleasure?

Who knows. Probably have to wait until round 1 to find out given the clubs track record.

Yep, I'm sure Morris didn't get interest anywhere, especially if he reckons he's a half.

I notice in another website they're still listing Payten as keen to go to Wales (this note was as late as 7 Oct). They also note that Pat Richards is rumoured to be going to Souths.

I suspect as much as WT's do not wish to release Payten, unless they can come to satisfactory contract extension before next season starts, there will be one very unhappy chappy at WT's.

By my count WT are still 1 man over for the main NRL squad- meaning 1 player has to go or be dropped down to Magpies / Tigers. It may reach the stage Payten goes if we cant get rid of Galea / Morris.
