Any news on the AFL v League TV battle in Brisbane?

This is the AFL's only chance for the whole season to knock off the league on TV up in Brisbane.

Any figures in yet?

I'll back the Broncos to take the shitty Fitzroy Lions down!!

If they don't, it doesn't matter because it will be the one and only win the AFL has up there for the year on the box as per normal.

Just had a look in the TV guide and there were three live/prime time Jism Ball games on free-to-air in Sydney this weekend. Accompany this with two late night replays of games and you have 5 games of that Melbourne rot on televisions in Sydney.

Considering Jism Ball doesn't come near rugby league for popularity, those numbers are way out of what.

2 free to air league compared to five AFL.

It's a disgrace and the NRL should do something about the lack of free-to-air coverage on our teles. We should at least get a 10.00pm replay on 9 of the main Saturday night games.

I guess the channels that show the AFL in Sydney get their just desserts with abominable ratings.

yeah i hate the coverage that AFL gets in NSW especially since League gets little to no coverage in VIC. I just cant understand why League isnt given a fair go in VIC?

It's bizarre. More people in VIC watched the League Grand Final than people in Sydney watched the AFL GF!

Surely there's as much call for League to be shown there, as there is for AFL to be shown here???

You would think that the NRL ratings would be heaps better in Brisbane this weekend than the AFL.

No game for the Brisbaners to go to in NRL and most of the AFL fans would have been at the Gabba anyway.

Im embarassed by that poll on the courier mail website, at the moment its favouring league 57 to 43, but its disgusting to know that that many victorians have made their way up over the border. More victorians move to QLD each year than there are Queenslanders being actually born - stick to your own bloody state and we'll stick to ours!
