any writers out there? lets get Storm into the F7's in 2010

hey guys,

I am currently in the F7's preparing to compete in the finals for Penrith, but i was wondering if there was any writers on here that would like to sign up with me and enter a team into the 2010 F7 competition, obviously it will be the best club in the world, the Melbourne Storm!!

Now, what the F7 comepetition is all about is writers creating articles based on rugby league that remain in the word range of 700-750 words (less or more accepted, however deductions are made), then are judged and given a score out of 100! once they have all been scored, the scores will be joined to create a total score out of 500, the highest score wins.

This season, it has been that each match is contested on a 10 day period, where the captains name a team of 5, plus three reserves in home matches, and 2 for away matches. the 5 named will be the contestants in the match and the bench players back ups. bench players will not post unless they are called off the bench by a captain after a player informs them that they cannot compete. there is 10 rounds, plus finals and rep matches along the way.

to recieve acceptance, during the off season, i need to get a team going for a tournament after the rep season. id love to have a storm team in the competition next year, but it is only possible if i can get 8-12 players to join me.

so is there anyone willing?

Josh aka BWS aka BIGGEST STORM FAN IN THE WORLD!

please reply if you are interested, please, i beg of you lol :sarcasm:

I have a dream!” is one of the world’s most famous quote’s spoken by Dr Martin Luther King Jr. Inspiring the Civil Rights movement of the United States of America, the same place where president Barrack Obama took his oath and was officially announced US president. These two moments in time have changed the course of history. These days marked the day African Americans had civil rights, and was finally given the option to go to war or to stay at home. I bet you’re wondering, Josh, where is rugby league going to come into this? Well I will tell you, a little boy from Melbourne growing up and dreaming to be like Robbie Kearns or Stephen Kearney, a little boy who had a dream.
This dream was not only to play for the Melbourne Storm, play for Australia but it was also to see my team win the Premiership. In only two years, the Melbourne Storm, claimed their maiden premiership and stage one of my dream was complete. But the next two stages would be, and have been difficult. But if the Storm can pull out an amazing win, in front of a world record crowd, to beat the new kids on the block the St. George Illawara Dragons by two points, anything is possible. At half time, the Dragons had them beat! Melbourne was down and out for the count. But after 14-0, Tawara Niaku said “Boys, pick yourselves up, BEAT THEM!” and to a kid like me, he was my Martin Luther King. As the second half rolled in, the Storm came out firing, with a mission, with a statement saying, WE ARE THE MELBOURNE STORM! They came from nowhere to beat the Dragons in the last few minutes of the game; with a penalty try Bill Harrigan dubbed the “biggest call of the millennium!”
After the success in the Grand Final, Anthony Mundine said that the Melbourne Storm had no right, no authority or power to be call themselves the premiers. But the dream kept on fighting, it showed we had sprit and we were proving that Victoria no longer is a minority for Rugby League, the inspired team beat their new rivals 70-10 at the MCG, and the night was summed up by a tap from Nathan brown, as he threw the ball into his props head losing possession from a classic falcon.
As the teams sunk into a ‘deep sleep’ of form, the teams still came out and did their absolute best against each other, no matter how the teams were going in the season, no matter how much they were being beaten by other teams, they proved that their rivalry and dream lived on through the years.
As the teams began to transform and change, 2006 rolled in. And so did Melbourne! The Storm played the best season in their history since 1998, to claim only three losses, and their first Minor Premiership. As history would show, the Melbourne squad took on the boys from Wollongong and beat them in the preliminary final, thus storm catapulted into the Grand Final, only their second at the time, and to prove that they would no longer be taken as a joke from a state who follow Aussie Rules like a religion, they proved that they were the real deal, as the Dragons fell victim to the force Melbourne possesses.
In 2007, the Storm continued their path to destruction, but the Dragons in this instance showed nothing, but the Storm claimed their second premiership in only 10 years, a record the club has to be proud of. As they disposed of Manly, the famous palm by Greg Inglis, to send the Manly winger into touch, who was then unable to do anything but watch, as GI scored a vital try in the game.
In 2008, the Storm suffered a late season collapse, as the Dragons were found in 7th place, fighting for their lives, and just like that, the eventual premiers destroyed the Soward-less dragons to claim a bye. However the storm had their worst finals campaign in the history of the club, as they won 2/4 matches, losing to the Warriors and Manly.
10 years on, 11 seasons later, the Storm and the Dragons are both in the hunt for the title, the Dragons sitting in first place, and the Storm at fourth, anything can happen. Just like in America lightning struck twice, can it happen in the NRL? We will soon find out.
