Anybody know how the situation with Sheens is going?

It doesn't necessarily have to be a coaching role.

I could see him in some "Football Manager" type role at the Warriors undermining Matt Elliott.

My money would be on England - the elephants graveyard. He thinks he's achieved it all here, but looks in the mirror and sees an old man. He'll wipe his hands and head to a new virginal fan base.

Dont forget Gus has the biggest ego than that lot combined.

I think it's plausible. Sheens loves Penrith and Cleary isn't getting the job done.
I'm tipping Sheens to go there and Marshall gets his beloved dad back and Gus can stroke his own ego in having the Australian coach and his marketing tool in Benji.
Cleary has only just begun, not even half way to where theyre aimng for I imagine, and Gus loves him...they go back.
More good signings for next year, I like what theyre doing.
I think they'll win a comp in 4 or 5 years

Just speculating.
Nobody does their load over Benji more than Gus, well except Benji himself.
If Sheens does get another shot at coaching NRL and Benji doesn't get the $$$ he wants. They will end up back with each other no doubt. Wherever that is.

Sheens to Penrith and it can be an old boys reunion by taking Simmons and Georgallis with him but that won't happen.

Penrith tried to get Sheen a couple of seasons back before going with Cleary and they (Gould) are happy with the way things are going.

Greg Alexander is on the board there and he and Gould are still very close, I don't think he will support it.

Sheens is what 60 odd years, gee if I was 60 I'd be happy to have a semi retired like job as the coach of the Oz team, flying business class to Europe at the end of the year and hopefully beyond and I's say he was on good coin, that would do my ego, not coaching in the NRL.
