You pay everywhere teddy, it could be a gold coin ($1/$2) or $5 or $10.

They mightn't be the big time, but every club be whatever code relies on gate takings how ever big or small they are.

And these semi pro clubs have clubhouses or leagues club where extra revenue come from the bar.

Depends. In the Parramatta area Guildford, Cabramatta, Mt Pritchard, and Wentworthville all have massive Leagues clubs (off the top of my head, I think that's it). In the Souths comp, I can't think of a single Leagues club other than Souths Juniors.

Thats a big crowd for this day and age,i suspect people didn't pay to get in (i hope iam wrong).

Yes you had to pay. Last year was Cessnock vs Maitland who are like the Shelbyville & Springfield of the Hunter (I'll let others decide which is which) so there's a real rivalry there.

I suspect if it was held at the EAS and they had a good rental agreement and promoted it, they'd could get 20,000+ again - especially in years when the Knights aren't in the finals.

Good stuff.
In England it's the Co-operative Championship and Championship one but there are former top flight clubs like Halifax and Widnes in these comps.

As someone who grew up in Newcastle, they're BOTH Shelbyvilles! :D
