Honestly, injuries will go a long way to deciding who wins.

I think Panthers are missing too many players to be a genuine threat.

Started this thread to highlight the closeness of the comp and the fact there is a few teams capable of winning it. Didn't know it was going to be a thread on how good the Raiders are and how they have the comp in the bag.

Come on, R69 is the only one talking us up that much.

Titans need to beat the Tigers on the weekend to knock the Tigers out of the 8 and squeeze themself in.

I wish this game was being televised.

Should be a good finals series. Nice to see the Warriors U20 putting it together after a poor start.

Can't help but think that they should've beaten the Panthers U20s on Sunday though

there is a reason mate
we've got it in the bag ;-)

Thomo cleared of a broken jaw
Chalk it down lads, we're the best team in the comp and have been all year, hence why we're minor premiers

Raiders 08 - You've been warned!

where are the semis to be played? is it the same as 1st grade, where the top 4 get a home semi, or does it work differently for the u 20`s?

cheers dazza

Congrats to top 8 teams in NYC

Canberra deserve to be fav's esp if they get a home semi, Warriors NYC can win away from home -

At the Penrith v Manly Game - lock down Romelo and very gd chance of winning, he was all their offence against Manly at home and they still lost with everything to play for.

IMO Raiders v Warriors final

I think the semis are matched up to the first grade teams where possible. So Canberras game will be at Shark Park before the Raiders semi.

We need Graham and Coote to comeback. They work really well with Iosefa.

Darkhorse-Brisbane Broncos. They finished the year very very strongly

Canberra won't have such an easy game next week against the Dogs...

Players certain to be back next weekend: Idris, Fawcett, Barba
Players Possibly back next week: Kite, Price

The Dogs are playing Brisbane next week.

Is Heka eligible for the finals as well?

I don't think Heka has played enough u20s so my guess would be no. According to the Dogs site, Heka has played 18 FG games this year (not sure if that includes today).

Either way, it will be a much better team for the Dogs. Hopefully they improve their commitment in defence.

If Penrith get to full-strength i think we may challenge Canberra as the 'best team in the comp'.

Nah you wont bro.

When it comes to juniors, Penrith has quantity, but we have 100% PURE QUALITY. You're like that watered-down dope Nicky Barnes used to sell, we're that Frank Lucas Blue Magic. Un-Cut Raw.

Check Penrith's results in the past few years in the junior competitions. Then you will see where the 'quality' is.

WTF? Panthers were dominating the Under 20's until we had a huge list of injuries and a massive list of first grade debutants. We have quality and quantity.

1. Lachlan Coote
3. William Isa
6. Wade Graham
8. Tim Grant
9. Masada Iosefa
10. Sam McKendry
11. Joseph Paulo
12. Daniel Penese

8 Under 20's players with first grade experience, all of which have done a good job in first grade. If it weren't for injury, Junior Tia Kilifi would be in that list. At full strength, we're the team to beat.

Plus our best centre has missed the entire season... Greg Waddell is one of our best attacking players.

ohh waaaah waaahh injury this, first grade promotion that....We'll still beat you at full strength.

Do you see us moaning about not being at full strength in first grade? No. You see is continuing to kick ass. If your squad was as good as you guys say, you'd at least be able to compete with us. Last time we played you, we walked through you. And we had a few players out too, Michael Brophy, Matty Smith, Justin Carney..and a couple others I think.

I really hope you get as many players back as you can, and play us in the semis.
