Is anyone else hoping we get the 2015 spoon??

2005 really kicked us in the balls and we brought in BSmith knowing we needed it. Maybe another kick in the nads is what the club needs...

No, not really. If it happens, too many people in power will find a way to justify the claim that "we got unlucky" and suggestions of sacking the board and Stone will be rubbished with calls to remember how divisive the place was when Warren Ryan came along and didn't offer Matty Johns a new contract/ Brian Smith came along and ripped the heart out of the place by telling Reynoldson and Newton they wouldn't be playing with their mates the following season.

Every club has people like this in its' ranks- but ours has a disproportionate amount compared to most...

I don't care if you're eating out of the garbage bin, you never wish that sort of failure on your team, ever. Once you have the spoon, it is on your record forever. Nobody wants that for their club.

At this point you should be hoping beyond hope that your team rallies enough to finish 11th through 14th, because such a result must spur action

Wayne wasn't a good fit for Newcastle, he didn't understand the community, thankfully good old Stoney is running things again, the boys love him.

Yes, the boys do love him. Gids' phone is ringing off the hook again, too.

Just put our feet up and whack on that 2001 GF DVD again- at least we've won a Premiership (unlike the Cowboys, Titans, Warriors and Sharks lol). All is good with the world.

I actually am. If we are going to play dumb football and not truly compete then yes we deserve the spoon and I'd hope it finally lets someone know that hey, we need to change something around here.

CH, your single sentence sums up my complete indifference towards this club perfectly. I feel like I'm cheering for the team that plays the Harlem Globetrotters. What's the point in even caring to begin with? Idiocy, after all, is doing the same thing repeatedly and expecting different results.

We are run by idiots. That could change if there weren't so many like-minded people turning up to our games every fortnight...
