I'm getting it in a few weeks .

Will be able to choose :

*Up to 4 different camera angles .
*Detailed live statistics
*Listen to different commentary or the stadium sound on selected broadcasts.
*See highlights of the game during the game.

Just noticed that CH9 has brought sportsactive in as well ,and you also need a digital box.

Wonder if it's all combined :?:

I'm still trying to get my Pay Per View (Sky) installed here in NZ. Had to make a flying visit down to my folks last night to catch the game as they have UHF Sky installed and the game was being played live.

Ultimately this means I'm without any coverage for the rest of this round at least until the FTA match of the Warriors and Broncos tomorrow night

Finally though we get the Sunday Footy Show and Boots & All tomorrow afternoon on FTA so not all is lost.

~Knights~ yes Foxtel Digital will have Channel 9 digital and SBS digital, so you'll have access to 9 Sports Active - although some advanced features introduced in the future might not be viewable. They won't be carrying 7, 10 or ABC digital as yet because they haven't agreed to the cost.

I'm not getting Foxtel digital, but will be buying a digital set-top box.

This year the Fox Sports Active match is the 2:30pm match each Sunday

And if you're in NSW or VIC the installers are going on strike Monday, so installations will be pushed back more than they already have. People who were due to have it installed last week have been pushed back to May or April, because Foxtel booked to many people in each day.

Do you mean the ch9 one or is foxtel only doing 1 match a week with sports active.
If that's true ,I'd be a bit disappointed, thought they would do every game like that .

I have heard this :(

Fox Sports.

Channel 9 is just doing Friday night
Fox Sports is just doing first game Sunday.

I have heard this

If they do cancel your appointment, what you can do is threaten to cancel Foxtel if you aren't connected within a week. That often works, and is one reason why so mant peoples appointments have been cancelled because other people using that tactic, and new subscribers are pushing in front of them.

I think they should only charge the 'new' subscribers $50 instead of everone.

We should get charged nothing :D

Current subscribers shouldn't get charged anything because you aren't buying the box. You have to give it back when you cancel. It's just upgrading a rental, which should be free. The one time Optus upgraded old boxes to new ones (for the people like me who signed up initially in the first 6 months), they did it free.

Austar Digital is already working - not sure about the game yet, but i now get all the channels that i requested - including MTV and the channels we could never get before. I'll take a look at the game and see what happens...

Plus it only cost $20 to switch over and the packages are $5 per month cheaper than foxtel digital ;) about time the country people didnt get screwed! (or screwed less than city people...lol)

yes and no...it will cost me $2 extra per month and i get quite a few more channels than we used to get on Austar Standard (which was different to Foxtel Standard) - i miss out on Comedy Channel which blows, but get Fox8. I'm trialing the 'fun and entertainment' package for a month which has espn and MTV in it and see how it goes.

i think you would find that Foxtel Digital would be heaps better than Cable - much better picture for starters.

We hope to get a tv in the future. First I have to arrange for the electricity to be connected in my cave though.

All this new technology is making my head spin. 4 camera angles?! Stats screens?!? Whoever says I'm part of the technological generation has got it completely wrong. I'm still struggling with the concept of having plain old "black and white" Foxtel at home ;-)

foxtel basic (or austar essentials) costs us $44.95 per month, with a $20 switching fee. i got the action package (i think thats what it's called) that gets me MTV and ESPN as well - that cost an extra $10 per month.

the movies are a rip off now - they have split Showtime and Movie One into different packages, and then you pay extra for Foxtel Box Office.

Austar is basically a little cheaper as the digital infrastructure is already in place.
