Anyone know what happened to Witt?

Regardless I thought Thorman went OK. Got better as the game went on and looked very dangerous close to the line. Still has some things in his game to work on but then so does Witt.

Don't care, Thorman was the man tonight.

Will be good to get another look at him next week against the Tigers. Hopefully he can produce 2 good performances back to back. I'm not 100% sure if he's staying around for next year but you would think so if he played tonight. Why else would Smith give him another shot if he wasn't staying on for next year?

I have a feeling Witt & Thorman will be fighting it out for the number 7 next year with young Tim Smith hot on their heels.

Thorman is potentially the better player, alot classier, Witt is more a Lincoln Withers type, tough & all guts!!

While I think Thorman was very good in attack as the game went on, he's still got some defensive issues.....he seems to get a bit over-excited at times and seems to try too hard....running out of the line at Orford and getting left clutching at thin air isn't gonna help his chances of staying in the top grade.

And my other issue with Thorman is his kicking....he doesn't seem very effective as a long kicker and his bombs tonight weren't very well directed and he has put in a fair few shitty grubbers on early tackles when we are attack....mind you we don't have too many other decent attacking options :(

God i've lost count on the amount of shitty kicks Witt has put in, but i guess we will never hear that on this board

Why not play them both next week? Or is that too sensible. With Morris now presumably out it's a good chance to see what skills people have got for next year.

In answer to question, I'd doubt Witt was dropped, as the PL team played (at Norths? see Jake's thread) Saturday afternoon.

"Not used" is probably the best term for a guy taken down in the squad but not ending up in the game?

For the first time throman did impress me. A lot of work to but but once his teammates start running with him he should gain confidence. He played a solid game but as i said his defence is a big issue. He was most likely instreucted to run at orford. But Orford was class.

He did try hard, but let the first Orford try in by running out of the line

I thought Thorman showed he can be an NRL player tonight. He set up one try and it would have been two if Widders hadn't been held off the ball on the second occasion. Still took some silly options, but I think he's a better option at half than Witt.
