Are the Wests Tigers genuine Premiership threats in 2004?

I was there that night at parra stadium in 96,we lead 12-2 late in the game and Langers got hurt.He was only off the field for a few minutes getting his thumb put back in,and the Sharkies scored 2 tries very dissapointing.
But back to 04,we will get a gauge when we play Saints and the Roosters in consecutive weeks this month.
Heres hoping we handle the pressure.

We will make the finals this year, and we will make the finals next year.

We're a young club and we're nurturing many great young players. Bryce, Bronson, Benji, Robbie are up there with the brightest prospects in the NRL; their day will almost certainly come. Look even deeper into our ranks and the home grown talent makes you want to jump up & down. Give us a few years, enjoy watching the development!

There's a dynasty being formed. Enjoy the next decade guys.

on current form , the only side travelling better than the tigers is the roosters .

but it's only june and by september the panthers , broncos and possibly dragons & bulldogs will be warming up for the playoffs too .

on the flip side , the tigers are still on the improve (especially prince & marshall) and barring a couple of bad injuries (and with pat richards coming back) could make things interesting .

let's face it , after the panthers win last year anything is possible .

I have no reason to change my pre-season view that we will have a good year if we can win more games than we loose.
If we continue to improve our attacking options we will certainly scare the s**t out of a few contenders running up to the big games.
2004 : Best finish 5th / Worst finish 8th :)
2005 : Best finish 3rd / Worst finish 5th :D
2006 : :alcho:

.

Then you will probably also remember comments before the match by sharks players on how the Magpies were the "joke" of the finals. Im pretty sure it was that prick Paul Green.

to be honest-we have no chance--top eight, will be a stuggle-if we get their,we hace a team that is capble of hanging around a few weeks-but to make the big one-no chance--not enough grunt, not enough fire power--I think we are very similar to a few of thouse shark sides, that never quite made, just missing the x factor-------but that will come in the next few years
but league is a funny game-a couple of key injuries and bad luck,to the likes of the roasters and broncos--anythings possible--we just have to peak in september and not june

I`m hoping Sheens filters through a few of our young guns who just might provide that X-factor before the year is out.I`m glad to hear that Bronson is apparently playing in the centres this week, although it is only Premier League atleast he`s in the position where he could/will turn into one of the games best!Liam Fulton is playing at 5/8 and will hopefully show his class as a lock-5/8 that has people including myself, raving about.

If the Roosters dont make the grand final we have some sort of chance.

I think we can compete with every other team in the comp and on our day we can beat them.

League is a funny game. Any team can win on any given day.

We are a chance of atleast competing..

The vital postions of 1, 7, 6, 13 and 8 we have genuine superstars, we have a willing forward pack, our backs are starting to find their feet and i believe we have the best supporters in the land and will get behind the team..

i believe this week could make or break our year.

a good win could see our already high confidence sky rocket and anything could be possible.

a loss could see our confidence drop and we will be on the edge of the 8.

like most people, i think the roosters will not lose many more games this year, including the big one.

a finals birth would do me :D

The Roosters are beatable, don`t worry about that. All we need is our young guns to quickly fill their potential and we`d be a chance of beating anyone. They can`t prove that they can star in 1st grade if they`re playing Premier League though, can they!

So you wanna put em all in first grade at once....have a team with no experience but lots of enthusiasm, then when they get hammered by the roosters and the dragons, and their confidence is shot to pieces....then what?

Change the f------g record man!!!!!

I think Sheens knows what he's doing.....hes giving the young guys their chances without putting too much pressure on em, but I spose Sheens dont have a clue huh?
