If anything, this game gives me confidence Brown will want to leave Parra. Storm are on their game, but Parra aren’t helping themselves.
But Brown doesn’t seem to be taking charge in attack or kicking either.

Watching this naturally makes me very appreciative about potentially signing Brown. At the same time though just like year this isn’t on Brown individually. The Eels are just shit and I doubt they’d be doing any better with Moses out there today.

Joey was right about the offer putting massive pressure on Brown. Especially after today. But he has probably given the club pause for thought today.

I know it’s not a true litmus test

but in SuperCoach, Brown scored 79 in a side beaten by 50……..that’s not too shabby

My concern with Brown is that he just didn’t seem to want to get too involved. We don’t need Ponga to have to carry another passenger. If he was trying stuff that just wasn’t coming off because the team is crap id be ok with it.

It’s hard to tell what he’s been coached to do though and their forwards were horrendously bad. That performance can’t be blamed on one individual player.

I keep jumping back and forth on the Brown thing.

It’s not a true litmus test, you’re correct.

And he’s SC valued at $651000.

For reference, Fletcher Sharpe is currently batting at $636000. He scored 83 points this week with Jack Cogger in charge.

I wonder how legit the 13mil over 10 year figure is…..only place we have heard it is from fox league journos

I wonder if the reality is he has clauses in his contract that “if they make the finals, he gets an extra 100k…….if they win a grand final he gets an extra 100k etc”

and the experts over at the DT have just started throwing around the most he will make over the 10 years assuming knights win the comp every year

Have a go at this idiot:

"The trolls were out in force after the Roosters’ heavy loss to the Broncos, but why do rival fans thrive on their pain and misery? This is rugby league’s tall poppy syndrome at its worst" writes DEAN RITCHIE.

KNIGHTS

Can Dylan Brown play this weekend? Asking for a friend called Adam. It wasn’t pretty but Newcastle, or more accurately Kalyn Ponga, found a way to oust the Wests Tigers.

O’Brien might have the man with the richest contract in NRL history coming next season, but if those performances continue he won’t be there to coach him.

Fletcher Sharpe is a serious talent but will take time. The more pressing issue is that after an entire summer, O’Brien still hasn’t worked out his best halfback.

Verdict: Ponga won’t be able to save O’Brien this season

Christ, the guy can’t win. One game in and he’s being criticised for not working out his best halfback.
AOB would be lucky to last the month if you only had that article to go by.
