As an eels fan I can tell you Brown has just never been very good. He had a good season in 2022. That is it. I can't get over the contract the Knights are giving him. The reports have got to be wrong.

The Eels have been awful in general since 2023. Even with Moses your win rate last year was 38%. He’s only 24. I’m going to wait and see how he can develop in a better side before completely writing him off. Not even Ponga would look good in this Eels outfit tbh.

I still just dont know how his is worth any where near the reported contract. If Brown is worth $1.3 per year Ponga should be on $2m minimum.

He’s not worth it at the moment and the Knights management would be the first to tell you that. That’s what they needed to pay to get him out of the Eels (although in hindsight waiting a bit might have saved us some money as I reckon he’d be much keener to get out of the Eels after these last few games).

He played poorly but his side are actually incompetent so hard to take much anyway from it. It was giving me flashbacks to our spoon years.

A lot of Eels fans seem to think Moses would be making a difference.

Eels also don’t have a plan B for when Moses is out. They try to play exactly the same way that is built around Moses’ game, regardless of who is stepping into the role. That’s poor coaching.

Yeah I’ve seen people give Ponga shit for us usually still winning games when he’s not playing - but we win those games because we tweak the way we play. Full on grind mode and just focus on not beating ourselves. That gets you through those periods.

To win games without Moses the Eels need to be prepared to win 8-6 if that’s what it takes. Instead they play like they don’t mind if they lose 80-6.

I'm an eels fan and watched him since his debut. He had one cracker year in 22 but that's it. He's useless without Moses and mediocre with him. Sharpe is a WAY better player than Brown. I honestly hope he recaptures that 22 form but highly doubt it . Don't say I didn't warn you
