Wouldn’t that be something if we somehow cobbled together another mil to buy haas
Depends on what motivates him. Cos he is hinting at leaving a club that should walk into a preliminary final at worst every year. But despite their unbelievable depth and talent pool seem to have lost any form of edge.

Maybe playing with 1x premiership winning half jack Cogger and 4x “being involved in” grand final wins coach is motivation enough?

KPP's contract and find 250k under the couch and you're at least in the financial discussion with Payne.

How you convince him we're worth being at I have no idea other than he was born in Newie. lol.

Leo's money gone anywhere yet? Lol

He'd probably need 2M to come here.

He’s the best player in the game on this season’s form. A million a year probably doesn’t really get you in the convo. Unless you’re suggesting a deal that still pays him that much when he’s 35.

Honestly $1m would be one of the lowest offers he’d be getting. I actually don’t think it’s out of the realms of possibility for him to end up on $1.5m for 5+ years somewhere.

If he leaves the Broncos he’ll end up at the Roosters or the Dogs imo. Both of which have an unlimited salary cap and are probably in a position to compete for a premiership over the next few years.

Haas testing the market, don’t think he will leave Brisbane with his family situation as is but yes he might leave Broncos for Dolphins or stay for a bigger pay

You're probably right, Haas can write his own cheque and we can't afford him. Tbh it might be a blessing because it's debatable whether these big money forward contracts are ever worthwhile.

So seriously, are we going to get the spoon this year?
I’d say so. We’ve been the worst team by a country mile for a couple of months now.

Titans look terrible too but they’ve beaten us a couple of times and they’re capable of turning it on here and there and winning games even against good teams. We only seem to beat heavily injury/Origin depleted teams.

You know what's sad? We have the best attacking player of his generation playing for our team. Also add a Queensland try scoring freak and Bradman but we still refuse to attack. That's what's sad. Imagine we had an average attacking outfit, we'd be 7-9th on the table.

Yes. Unless we go on a bit of a run out of nowhere. We might be saved by the Titans but I reckon they're more likely to jag wins than we are given they can actually score points. We are by far the worst two teams in the comp though.

We can’t start attacking until we get our full top 17 on the park at once….so yes, wooden spoon inbound.
