Gonna be a tough job building an NRL team from scratch, I cant see the Bears having too much to offer, 7th out of 13 teams.

Hughes is off contract from the Storm would be a decent signing for 3 seasons.

I think they will let him move on as well and transition to their new halfback.

Any Elite players like Papenhuyzen going to Perth will be going for the $$$$ that are on offer and being the face of the franchise.

I do assume Perth will be appealing for some extra third-parties and sponsorships deals with some heavy hitting corporate organisations if the Bears can break through that market even in an AFL town.

You only have to look at the Storm and the advantages they have being the only team in town.

It will have nothing to do with the coaching or the prospect of being with Brad Arthur

I imagine the Orr brothers will be licking the lips getting some of there clients through the door for a nice pay rise.

Both teams are equal on the Super League table... if I was Perth I'd be waiting as long as I could to appoint the first up coach, and judging on performance above reputations and networking etc.

Arthur’s record in England has been terrible. His team is better than the one Burgess coaches yet his results are inferior.
Warrington finished in the top four every year from 2018 to 2021. Leeds haven't been top four since 2017. Warrington is a bigger club, with better recruitment, and maybe that's evidence Burgess is a better coach. But don't say Leeds has a better team. The teams are all garbage over there.
