That Peachey couldn't be found for 7 hours after the game.

His mind wasn't on football that night that's for sure.

Very good considering our position on the ladder as souths and tigers arnt traveling the best atm. Were in a good position to not need too many new players as we already have very compitant players in the teams. Says something about our a recrutment too.

Good point there Mickey.

We will be cashed up and recruiting with already a strong playing roster.
Tiges and Souths will be recruiting to be competitive.

We just have to hope that our bargain signings from last year don't turn out to be just one year wonders.

Amazing recovery after "Darth Ando" was Light Sabred to death by "Master Rogers", Stuey and the management are going ahead in leaps and bounds...
Harmony has returned to the club and we have a "Winning culture" back again. You can even win a few bucks betting on them these days :D

Not sure that they (the older ones anyway) weren't just meant to be one year wonders - with no offense intended - but we really wouldn't have signed Mellor or Dykes on the basis that they were long term prospects. I think that they have been signed to do the job for a year (or two) and to give some of the younger players time to develop a bit - which seems to be working given how Newtown are going.

Maybe not Mellor but Dykes, you're kidding aren't you bshark. Dykes was signed to win us a premiership and he'll stay till he does and besides that Dyksee still has a few good years in him.

except that he was playing on one leg when he left us, and still seems to have problems in that area. I did preface my statement with 'or two years' - I don't think Dykes has got much more than that in him - was playing with Peach and Rogers - how old is he?

Which raises an interesting point - when we win the premiership this year :D are we going to have a lot of players hang their boots up on the basis that that is what they were waiting for -Peach, Dykes, Mellor - Also - how many of the older brigade are on contracts that finish this year? Stevens, Vagana ?
