He is not up to 1st grade standard ATM. He cant catch, cant tackle and definitely cant run. Bring back Brett Anderson next week if grothe isnt ready.

We would have to have the two slowest, most useless wingers in the comp. Eric Grothe Jnr with one good hamstring is twice the player those two chumps are!!

Can't blame him for the handling errors tonight. Especially late in the game.

But realisticly, who could catch the ball tonight ;-)

at least Petersen (eventually) scored a try

So did Thorman??

See this is what i'm talking about..double standards!

I will critisise when it due & praise when it's due, however Thorman has been given so much shit tonight but on the wing Peterson had another shocker yet his performance goes unnoticed by many.

Graham is a good player, his injury has stuffed this yr for him.....he should be in the lower grades getting full speed back, maybe next yr will be better for him

Oh dont worry Peterson has always been sh*t but tonight we just confirmed how sh*t Thormann is too.

Yeah, I figured that was so obvious it wasn't worth posting.

i dont think witt was that bad, he made some good breaks, i thought he needed to get his hands on the ball more than he did. I'm abit worried about thorman though...i thought he would be going better than he is...

Blokes who played well: Widders, Afamasaga, Wade.

Blokes who had moments but were merely OK: Petersen, Langi, Stapleton.

Ordinary: Everyone else.

Yes, Thorman scored.

But he isn't up to First Grade NRL yet.

It is obvious as the light of the day that he has talent and has it in him; but we need to give him a fair amount more time to get good.

We will not make the Top 8 this year; why not give Thorman more of a go, alongside Mateo and Anderson and Ben Smith? Nothing to lose.

And to all you Muzza baggers: Yes, he isn't quick.

But he hits hard, he is OK in the air, has great heart and is a freaky try-finisher.

If you could combine his best attributes with Grothe's or Burt's best, we'd have a hell of a winger.

Someone deny honestly that the try he scored wasn't something special.

I am not for giving Thorman more of a go - it seems his heart and wallet are telling him to go home where he can readily dominate games.....BUT I agree whole heartedly that the other youngsters should be given every opportunity:

In: B Smith - Out: L Burt
In: F Mateo - Out: L Hopkins
In: B Anderson - Out: A Graham
In: T Smith - Out: C Thorman

Wny doesn't Smithy play Graham in the centre and put Burt on the wing ?

Burt is small, quick, but couldn't tackle a mouse running hard straight at him.

Graham is a big, lumbering lump with millitary intelligence on positional wing play

Today Witt proved to me that he is not a halfback. Maybe a 5/8th but not a 7.

What are you talking about? Witt was playing 5/8. Thorman was the halfback and he was given the duty of leading the team around the park which he failed to do miserably (again). Witt played a similar role to what he was asked to play against the Knights with Dykes at halfback. All you blokes are having a go at Witt for not getting involved and taking charge of the side when Smith doesn't want him to do this. He wants him to play a supporting role. Thorman was given the duty of leading the attack and he was a complete failure. Witt did well with the little ball that came his way but he didn't see enough of it. Every time Thorman was given the ball on the last he f@cked it for us. Make no mistake Thorman was given the task to lead the side around the park last night NOT Witt.
