Wow, first five all under 11 seconds
Only ten minutes to wait now
Diamond league moves on to shanghai this Saturday. Gatlin v de grasse in the 100, stacked field in the women's 200
3rd place in the men's 100 could be fought out by Ujah, isaiah young, and the Chinese runner
Men's 400 sees Gardiner vs makwala again.!if Fred kerley is at his best, he could threaten the Qatari for third. Funny how Gardiner didn't run for Bahamas at the comm games. Maybe it's money over titles for him
Funny how the 100 and the 200 for women have different sets of favourites these days. Only the winner of this 100 among the first five is backing up in the 200 this week in China. Add miller-uibo, prandini, Stevens of the us, and shericka jackson as the ones in the mix this time. Schippers would have to improve in a week to better her 6th in Doha.
De grasse was only 6th in the 200 last week. Can he get back to the sort of pace like that amazing run next to bolt a few years ago?
Five hours away, cannot wait
My prediction is the fifth place runner will finish in 22.46
Here we go
Picked the first four, gap to fifth
six minutes til the start
Surprising result into a headwind
Prefontaine classic at Eugene, Oregon, USA has a few events tomorrow then the main program early Sunday morning, our time. The two mile for men tomorrow pits some of the world's best over 5k against each other. Edris and barega of ethiopia vs chelimo of Kenya and Ahmed of Canada.
tomorrow morning our time has coleman v meite v ujah in the 100, g.dibaba v obiri in the women's 5000, talou v bowie v thompson in the 100, felix v miller-uibo v francis v naser in the 400, and a crack field in the men's 200. guliyev, lyles, jereem richards, webb, makwala, and coleman is my predicted order of finish
only 2 hrs 20 min until the men's 100
Felix out of the 400
Coleman is out of the 200, concentrates on the 100. Makes sense even though the shorter race is not a diamond league event here
Two diamond league meetings in the next five days with lots of the same athletes.
2am tonight in Oslo, 100 and 400 women, 200 men
