I've barely posted in here the past couple of weeks as there's really nothing left to say that hasn't been said a thousand times before.

But I wanted to pop in on this one once more.

There's been plenty of argument that Atkinson is there as "injury cover"
Well, we had an injury yesterday after 24 minutes.
Did Atkinson cover it?
Nope.

There goes that argument.

Unf**king-believable he would be kept on the bench yesterday after Puru was included, while Burns is there for moral support.

Really, I'm at the point now where, as long as Fitzy is in charge, I'm not interested.
He has the squad he wants.
He built it.
He's spent 3 1/2 years training them on how he wants them to play.
And it's gotten us to where we are: miles off the pace.

He has shown an inability to develop players, or identify areas of the squad which need strengthening.
As far as options coming through, the cupboard looks bare for the foreseeable future.

His steadfast refusal to introduce new blood over the past 3 years has seen the team stagnate and now is teetering on the precipice of oblivion.
On current trajectory we are 18 months away from battling it out for the spoon.

Have a look at what happened to the Eels, post-2022.
They're the blueprint, and he's following it to the letter.

So that's about it for me.
I'm checking out.
I'll pop in to read, though not as avidly as before.
And I can't see myself adding anything to the conversation.

Hard to have credentials when you've only coached one team. We can only judge him on what has happened at the sharks...consistent inconsistency and an inability to win crucial games.

He doesn't have it.

We don't have the money or influence to allow him to do that

I don't have a problem with Atkinson on the bench per se but it just doesn't work in our team.

We have a small hooker, a small lock and two smaller backrowers. Throw more small forwards onto the field and our defence falls apart like wet cigarette paper.

Brailey isn't going anywhere and neither are the backrowers so the options are: play a bigger body at lock or play with a four forward bench (or both).

I don't see either of those things happening and I don't see our fortunes changing as a result.

We have duelling banjo's in the halves at the moment who get on as well as the Hatfield and the McCoy's.
They might smile and high five after a try but ima say trindall has a poster of the 7 on his basement wall surrounded by candles and with the eyes cut out.

That line up gives us muscle in the centres with sifa and iro in attack and defence and most importantly gets rid of numbnuts. I doubt rsmien could spell IQ let alone pass one. Is he the dumbest player ever to wear our shirt?

Brailey played first reciever last year in a winning team in melbourne (with the dreaded Atko ironically). He's a better fit beside tricky than boy wonder. He will do the job in defence. He'll let trindall kick. He'll run harder. And he has a bit x factor.

Burns at lock speaks for itself. Body shape and speed for one. Goes for 80. And can ball play. Showed he is first grade.

Mcplod. Last chance. Just get to the breakdown and shovel it out. Defend in the middle and stop going full-tard.

Berrell will tackle his ring out and the 25 minutes we can squeeze out of him will far exceed the 5 we get from splinters Atko.

Last. And least.
Million dollar baby.
The further he is from clutch plays and organising a first grade team the better for all, him included.
He can tackle better than WK.
He can pass to a guy hitting a hole so he just has to run wide off the halves and do that.
He loves running east-west, but running the sweep he can't or he'll end up in the crowd. And if he farks this up that's where he'll end up anyway.
And the only kicking he'll do is after try.
