I was going to post this on AE and try and find your quote from earlier in the year stating that Watmough isn't origin material and wont play this year.

How sad! By god!

The Knights..Now that truly is sad, but heck I hope they don't get above four points all season.

Geroge Carmont...Hardly sad, more so humorous:lol::lol:

The guy wouldn't make our PL side.

Feck off and win a game.

 .

Watmough always had the talent. But he's got the consistency now and he's also Ironed out alot of flaws in his game. Chalk that down to Kennedy imo. Hope he plays the game of his life on Wednesday Week!!

Things along the line of:

"Capable of playing first grade but unlikely to be a stand out. Good to plug gaps that injuries leave.

I know he’s a favourite of many but I’m far from convinced that he has the size or the smarts to be a major player in the game of Rugby League. I’d love to be proved wrong but he’d need to be packing an extra 10kg and 50 IQ points to live up to what many expect from him."

Yep, credit to blue arsed, he has been very good this year. Though I do think we should see about a refund seeing as he's on record as saying he didn't try in previous years.

Good thing you can't find some of my more outlandish utterances about what I would do should Watmough make a rep side. :embarrass

Anthony Watmough:

Alternate nicknames: Blue arsed, Choc, Christmas BBQ.

Famous for: Wearing the title of ‘next big thing’ for the last three years and a conga line favourite for future representative honours.

Key attribute: A hard working forward that makes up for what he lacks in size with enthusiasm. There is no doubting his desire to turn up to play.

Key weakness: Is a victim of the not infrequent brain explosion and often finds himself in the wrong place at the most inopportune time.

What we’d like to see in 2005: A lot of effective tackling, preferably in the same line as the rest of his team mates rather than miles out in front, dragging along behind a much bigger forward that has slipped the ball to a player screaming into the gap in the line that he’s left..

If he were an alcoholic drink he’d be: Passion Pop, lots of bubble and fizz but an overbearing desire to impress means that he’s a favourite amongst teenagers but unlikely to be enjoyed in elite company.

What would other clubs think of him if he were theirs: A good fringe forward in the mould that
Jamie Feeney played at the Bulldogs. Capable of playing first grade but unlikely to be a stand out. Good to plug gaps that injuries leave.

Matabele’s view: I know he’s a favourite of many but I’m far from convinced that he has the size or the smarts to be a major player in the game of Rugby League. I’d love to be proved wrong but he’d need to be packing an extra 10kg and 50 IQ points to live up to what many expect from him.

Matabele’s rating:
Heart 8/10
Ability 6/10
Importance to the side: 6/10
Injury record: 8/10
2004 performance: 6/10
Total: 34/50

Yeah lads, pick on the one profile that I get wrong!! Most of them are on the mark still.

I'll see what I can do for Mr Christmas BBQ.
