It's less than a month till the Auckland Nines.

This the Dragons squad from last season:-

1. Josh Dugan (c), 2. Reuban Garrick, 3. Euan Aitken, 4. Tim Lafai, 5. Kurt Mann, 6. Drew Hutchinson, 7. Josh McCrone, 8. Dunamis Lui, 9. Mitch Rein, 11. Jacob Host, 12. Jake Marketo, 13. Jack de Belin, 14. Kiti Glymin, 15. Kalifa Faifai Loa, 16. Matt Dufty, 17. Sebastine Ikahihifo, 18. Jay Gallagher, 19. Tyrone McCarthy.

This year for me I'd like to see:-

1. Matt Dufty, 2. Nene McDonald, 3. Taane Milne, 4. Patrick Herbert, 5. Rueben Garrick, 6. Shaun Nona, 7. Kurt Mann, 8, Tyson Frizzell, 9. Joel Thompson, 10. Luciano Leilus, 11. Paul Vaughan, 12. Cameron McInnes, 13. Tariq Sims, 14: Jacob Host, 15. Jai Field, 16. Reece Robson, 17. Levi Dodd, 18. Chris Lewis

It would be nice to reward Packer with a trip home I'd stick with the above team.

Name the squad you'd like to see this year.

Not bad at all. Would be good if they sent that squad but I doubt it

I think you just about have it spot on, however, there would be a couple of changes IMO.

I doubt Friz will play in this tournament, his place would be taken by Packer.
I also think that McGregor will want to take Marketo, McCrone, Lafai and Glymin (the latter 2 to test their fitness and recovery from injuries). Who will they replace is open to conjecture, and no doubt everyone in the squad will want to go, so there may be some disappointed fringe players.

Oh yes, I realise there is a difference between the squad that will go and what I'd like to see there. It may be too soon for the recovering Frizell and Nona to play. We also have a trial the next week against the Tigers so there may be some players held over for that game.

Squad looks ok to me.More importantly i wonder if they will announce the squad the same way.Releasing a name every few days. The suspension & excitement was all too much for me,What a wonderful innovatiion that was by the club, about as useful as everything else they do.

What happened with Mundine? Wasn't he going to have a run at the nines.

He fights Danny Green in Feb,so the nines are out, but what about the regular season.

No, we didn't. We were beaten by Canberra, Sharks and Titans.
Every time you think you know the full array of our clubs recent shitness another thing comes out to smack you right between the eyes. I'd wiped this one from my memory!

I like your team but I too would rest Friz.

I would send Kerr.

He is young and fit and it would be good to see him in action.

Yep, agreed, Tyson could probably use the rest and not much point risking him. It would be good to see Kerr in action - strapping young lad that he is.

Thank Fook ! ! ! !

What if the Dragons ' brains-trust ' had decided to open the purse-strings and buy both Sandow and Carney ,they could had joined Mundine at the nines .
Mundine and Sandow would had been busy knocking the opposition players out , while Bubbler Boy would be trying to revive them , by pussing on them .

Thank the good Lord for small mercies !

Never doubt 'the man'. When it comes to sport, he is like no other. It would be a dream come true 4 me, if he were to come back for another season and put some moves on and a few exciting 4 pointers.

I doubt very much that it would hurt ticket sales - IMHO. Alas its probably not gonna happen, even if the timing could be right.

For your dream to come true both of you would have to wake up first because Green will put him away.

Add to that it was the poorest demonstration of nines footy I have ever witnessed.
it was like the game plan was the 13 a side game plan, but only 9 men on the field.
One out runs for the first three tackles were common and then 2 tackles to create something, with a random kick at the end....
Pityful stuff...
