Very little chance of another NZ team in the short- or mid-term future (majority of money brought in by the Warriors to the NRL is TV money, and a second team doesn't add enough additional incomes to be worth it when compared the merits of a Perth and/or another Brisbane/elsewhere in QLD team).

So the Warriors represent New Zealand, not just Auckland. And that is unlikely to change any time in the next 10+ years.

We look nothing like the Bears anyway, despite using the same 3 primary colours - they used way more red

My only issue with New Zealand Warriors is when the Aussie media use it to suggest we have an advantage/should do better because we're a whole nation. But given I have an issue with all the uninformed BS they write about us, it's really not much more to take.

The team belongs to fans across this country, not just Auckland...or it should. Let it change when it needs to, if a 2nd side ever happens.

They've made two grand finals and made the finals for approximately half the years they've been in existence, vs zero finals appearances as Auckland. Not a raging success but hardly a failure either.

They should stay NZ Warriors now, the brand is firmly established and the no1 NRL seller for tickets sold to away matches and Merchandise.

Hahahahaha yes yes yes I swear the Warriors decided to become the new North Sydney Bears. Before the warriors came along the bears were my team and i have noticed more and more that the Warriors have moved away from their original blue and green design and took up the Bears colours instead.

It does feel like im watching Norths sometimes without the brilliant structured play that they had.

Personally I wouldn't do that. I'd brand the second team "southern" so people from the South Island and Lower North Island can identify with them (assuming they're based there), and keep the Warriors as either just "The Warriors" or NZ Warriors. I'd avoid the Auckland tag as I'd want to try and retain support outside of Auckland, at least in the upper north island.
