ykstorm, do you know if the ARL/anyone with a brain has made approaches to the barmy army, about perhaps reserving a few bays for them for the aus v gb match?

They need their game to start at 10/11am, because theyre usually comatose by 8/9pm.

Bought 6 tickets to the first Sydney Test today - PAX 10,986 - 10,992.

Not that bad considering the first ad on the Sydney Tri-Nations game was only in today's paper, and the tournament only just kicked off on Saturday.

Yeah.. the tournament has now started and is in the face of the public. The next 2-3 weeks should see at least another 10k tickets move I hope. How good the crowd is could depend a bit on earlier results. If the next couple of games advertise the series well, there should be good crowds.

I just can't work out why stadiums in Bris and Sydney don't sell out for these league tests. After all, RL is the number one game in those areas.

There is still 3 more weeks to go for Sydney! It'll get a crowd of 35,000 minimum!

I hate to admit it, but when it comes to these games Brisbane ppl show a lot more passion than Sydney which is unfortunate.:( Now wonder they have the one off test matches up there, 2 games and theyve attracted 40,000 + to each. We've hosted test matches in recent times and filled half the stadium or less. I remember when the Poms last toured here there were 40,000 + at the SFS. Ever since Telstra opened the test matches in Sydney have really dropped off. Hopefully ppl have jumped off the Swans bandwagon and got back into league. C'MON PEOPLE OF SYDNEY, GET TO THE GAME!!!. :D

Now we are past the 11K mark at Aussie, we will do alright, and there will most likely be a 30K+ crowd now at Aussie. Unlike Telstra where people rarely pre-purchase cause their is no chance of a Test selling out, at Aussie, there is a chance, so the majority of people will pre-purchase over the next few weeks.

yeh I got mine today at 11500 or so but its worrying i think that in the past week the pax number has only gone up about 1500. I dont care I'm fullfilling a lifetime ambition of seeing GB play in Aus even though it will be 40 odd at least I reckon.

It's just pathetic at this stage, as OZ vs GB games ar ehuge and generate a heap of passion and atmosphere, however i'm pretty confident it will be 35,000, only problem is the heat putting it off.
