And that penalty try.... Matt Dunning, Brendan Cannon, cya later!

I thought it was Fitter's fault but I wouldn't want Baxter there anyway

Yep...enough said...the Wannabies are a poor side who have no depth and will get spanked by the AB's next year...please keep Jones as your coach because then we will thump you even more !!!...

if there's a lesson to be learnt from this tour it's that it doesn't matter who your halfback is, in fact it doesn't matter who's in your entire backline, if you're forward pack isn't up to test football then you can't consistently win test matches. Australia has about 2 forwards up to test standard.

maybe you are being generous with two forwards up to test standard judging from this tour's form alone. smith, waugh, sharpe and cannon have played well in patches from time to time but from this tour i think all i forwards have been pathetic and a disgrace. smith and waugh are meant to be breakdown specialists yet our shoddy work at the breakdown has been the third biggest concern after our scrum and lineout. heads must roll after this tour, hard decisions must be made, or else we are on a collision course of embarassment.

Don't worry Eddie and Gregan are gone. The crap forward pack should follow and Aus rugby will be back on the up!

although you sound right its not that easy. dumping jones and gregan must be done, but its not about blaming the forwards but training them properly and providing good leadership. gregan kept his spot for the tour because it was thought his leadership skills were needed, but he was annonymous this tour. nathan sharpe is in an excellent position to lead the team and more importantly spark his forwards. inexperienced and low-confidence can be blunted with inspirational individuals. sharpe, smith and waugh have the ability to do that (if you forget about how crap they were this tour). the next captain must come out of the forwards.

I agree, but the next captain should be Phil Waugh not Sharpe.

is that a comment on his relative obscurity or his supposed leadership skills?

waugh is not captain of the waratahs, and hes not even captain of sydney uni. maybe he should have some lower-level experience at captaincy before he gets tossed into the wallaby job (but im not sure if he's been a captain at junior level).

The scary thing to come out of this game was how well Wales handled and dominated the Aus forward pack. That means you have Eng, SA, France, ABs, Wales and I would say Arg who would be all pretty confident facing Aus in the forward contest if Aus doesnt sort out their forward problems come the world cup. That puts Aus way down the pecking order in the international game.

I'm pretty sure Italy would fancy our forward pack too if Dunning and Baxter are the props!

Hey give Wales some credit, the week before their pack didn't take a backward step against the Boks, infact Wales played pretty well against them even made more linebreaks, without Habana the scoreline would of been much closer.

what I can't understand with you Aussies is why you are so anti Gregan?????

This guy would be welcomed in to nearly every other team in international rugby yet for some reason you can't wait for him to clear off, he has over a centuary of caps and has been the difference for so many years between you and the opposition. Without him you wouldn't have had half the success.

Nice to see how you really treat your future legends.

most of them are anti-gregan because they let journalists like peter jenkins and campo do all the thinking for them and have no idea how tough it makes a halfbacks job when he is playing behind the worst tight 5 out of the competitive nations in world rugby.

He is 32 years old and he isn't getting any younger. It is time to give some younger blokes a go. Gregan has had his time and probally should have retired after the 2003 World Cup. Henjak deserves a long stint as the no9.

i guess the sentiment arises because unlike other captains of sporting teams, gregan didnt go at the right time and he is not the image of the typical aussie. you wonder why we dont treat gregan in the same respect as ella, farr-jones or eales - its because gregan whinges on the field all the time, hasnt pulled out a real captain's game for three years and he happens to be well spoken and highly cultured. arrogance is not received well in the public, neither is arse-kissing and covering up. unfortunately this has been the case with eddie jones and george gregan.

well of course an aussie captain FIGHTS for his team, he doesnt whinge and whinge like a damn pom. those two are different things, because gregan opened his mouth when he didnt need to and irritated a whole lot of people with his constant complaining.
