Of all the "questionable" slections and non-selections. I believe that the omission of Simmo is the greatest blunder of the lot. Given that he has proved himself many times (particularly in SOO 2005) that he can play prop or second-row, I can assume that means he has been left out because of the inclusion of Mason (who can play in both positions also). If he has been overlooked purely on his second-row role that means he has been thought of as having less to offer than Ryan or Fitzgibbon....pftt....PLEASE. Simmo has either been victim to politics ar plain stupidity. I am starting to think that the later may be the case.

The selectors chose Prince.. I'm a fan of his, but with Johns ahead of him, how much game time can he get?

If they were to include Prince, they should have included another specialist hooker/utility.

Gower is there for that option, but i cant really say that i'm convinced of him at hooker..

If Simpson ruled himself out, I'm a little less confused by that team. I was somewhat irritated to see guys like Ryan, Mason, O'Meley, and even O'Donnell picked ahead of him. But if he just ruled himself out, it's fair enough.

They only dodgy choices are Ryan, Mason, Waterhouse,Tate & Maybe Gower, I would have like to have seen Hodgson instead of Tate, Creagh instesd of Ryan, Skandalis ahead of Mason, and Maybe Robbie Farah instead of Gower.
