anyone go there i think they are very reliable and just check out the ammount of aussies that are projected 1st or 2nd round over the next couple of years

2007-Newley (asked by houston too come back next year)
2008-round 2 no 9 Nathan Jawai round 2 no 11 Joe Ingles
2009-Round 1 no 19 Andrew Ogilvy round 2 no 15 Luke Nevill

not forgetting some of those other players that arent far off being in the nba like Aleks Maric,Aaron Bruce,Pat Mills and Matt Knight

so by 09/10 could we have around 6-7 nba players ?

Just looking at Jawai and Ingles stats for this year and there impressive

Ingles
18 ppg (improved from 15)
6 rpg (improved from 4)
6.5 apg(4th in nbl) (improved from 2)
1.25 spg
47% f/g
48% 3's (19-40)
78% from the line

Jawai
16.4 ppg
8.8 rpg
1.3 apg
1.2 bpg
54% f/g
83% from the line

How old is Jawai??

I think Jingles is in the same boat as newley. Not strong enough for the nba, maybe if he packed on some weight in the off season. Granted he is still young.

I reckon Pat Mills would be the best pick of that list of players to get into the rotation of a NBA team. He's amazing.

As for Matt Knight I would be very suprised if he even got drafted. I think he's in the NBL the rest of his life.

If someone with brad newely's talent couldnt crack it I really can't see any of the above making it.

Ingles >>>>>> Newley. Joes game is alot better then Brads( who will still get a shot in a couple years). Joes ability to hit the pull-up jumper and play the point at 6"8" are light years ahead of Brad who relys to much screen being set for him to be more effective.

And Nathan Jawai will be better in the nBA as well, as his power and athleticism will translate alot better to the NBA

i like newley but cmon Ingles is a much better player plus i think he has a way better reach Ingles arms are very long and will help at nba level

he does have flaws and they are hes not strong enough but hey hes the same size as Corey Brewer and there the same age but Ingles offensive game is much better

Ingles also needs too learn too finish better but that will come i really think he should of spent this year in U.S , its all shane heal's fault :x

I went to the Razorbacks Hawks game last week.

Matt Knight is nothing special. Hes a avergae to good NBL player. He wasn't even in a strong college team or competitive confrence.

You need to absolutely dominate the NBL to make the NBA. I mean some of the best NBL players over the years weren't enough for the NBA (and no Heal and Gaze dont count).

You know who shouldve made the NBA Matt Nielson. Where is he these days? I here Europe but where abouts?

Loughton played 4 years at Old Dominion and isnt athletic enough for the NBA. Jawai has played basketball for not much more then 4 years and is a NBA calibre athlete

Brewer is a much better athlete then Joe (though Joe is no slouch) but Joe overcomes any disadvantage by having a great all-roung game.

Mike Dunleavy is probably a good comparison
