This thread for nominations for captains of Australia, New Zealand and Great Britain

1. You can nominate yourself or someone else.

2. The nominations will close this Monday evening (23rd October).

3. The names will then be voted on by the available referees.

4. The selected captains will then be announced Tuesday (24th October) in this thread.

5. Once selected, the three captains can then start their own separate threads and ask for players to join up.

6. The first Tri-Nations match between Australia v Great Britain kicks off the following Sunday (29th October).

Good luck everyone.

i notice Bartman played for GB in the tri nations last year. If he's still of the god save the queen blood this year i think he'd make a fabulous captain for the GB side.

and obviously my esteemed leader willow in the waltzing matilda colours.

Pistol for GB..I think he's GB

Waken for Australia

Leaguenut for New Zealand.

I think they are the three best captains going around.

Thanks anyway Mort, but I'll have to decline captaincy. Not able to guarantee being online at the right times, with the time difference over here at all ;-). Don't know about the Queen's blood but I think Big Mick and Pistol would both do a great job for GB, and I'd be happy to play under them.

Cheers Mort, but I'll cheerfully decline. I've already had the good fortune as Aust captain in the past. Waken has done a tremendous job since then and deserves the nomination.
