Finally Austin debuts. I would of brought him in when Lewis 1st went down. Coote to return is also a positive. No Lewis or Jennings I can't see them getting a 4 nations start now

Well done to Blake Austin, hope he goes well.
Just on Jennings, sit him out for the last games. Has not done anything all year, give some of the younger ones a start.

Bldy awesome. I hope we get to see what he can do with hopefully more than a token 10 minutes. Bit hard to get too excited not knowing for sure if he will get a run, or for how long and in what position.

I would assume he would play backrow. With Kingston on the bench we need the extra running forward. Which is good he has the size & the running game to be the attacking forward we need so get him out there & see how he goes

Austin played a spectacular game. Next week either play him 5/8 or 2nd Row. Either way I don't think we have seen the last of him.

Makes you wonder why he's been held back for so long ahead of nuffies like Matt Bell and Waterhouse this season.

He certainly deserves to be picked ahead of some questionable selections.

Matt Bell has been solid this season IMO. He has deserved his place in the team each time he was picked. Unlike Waterhouse, you can be sure that the mountain of work Matt Bell gets through won't be undone by stupid penalties or errors. He's also our most effective tackler.

But I agree that Austin should have made his debut a while ago. Would have had him at lock with Smith in the second row and Waterhouse at Windsor.

I said it at the time when Lewis went down he should of came up. He's the only player close to Lewis' skill & we would lose the ball playing skill.

I am excited having him & Lewis on different sides of the ruck

Once again, spastics like Elliott would never have given him a run. That gymp would have started Purts in the forwards ahead of Austin.
