Kasper needs to be brought back in.

They are developing a partnership that really needs to be broken.

47 need for a SL win.

Why are they not putting the quicks back on?

The SLs are having no trouble getting runs off Hogg and Symo.

Symo just completed a very tidy over. Only the 1 run off it.

26 runs needed off 42 balls, and they have bought the quicks back on.

7/163 lets go Binga!

That was a 14 run bloody over. Including the no ball.

Kasper!!!!!!

They need 17 runs from 30 balls

9 runs needed off 26 balls. Hogg got smashed for 6.

If they let any of the part timers or Lee bowl the next over, Gilchrist will be nursing a broken arm.

Thats it guts. SL come away with the win. They made hard work of it, but full credit to their tail end.

We could have put more pressure on IMHO

Symmo won man of the series with 211 @ 105.50 and 5 wickets @ 42.80. Ponting must have been close too, 257 runs and four half-centuries from four innings. Kasper deserves a mention too, he was second in the wicket takers for the series with 8 and only played three games. His bowling average was 12.75.

How often do we see it though?
Australia win the series (Test or ODI) and lose the next dead-rubber match/es.
While this trend will never bite you on the backside (because you've already won), it doesn't help your confidence going into the next series.

The Test matches will be a tighter affair - Murali on 3rd, 4th and 5th day wickets will be dynamite. I think we may find a few spinners rushed into the side - Warne and MacGill, but also Symonds perhaps if they see the need for mediums early and spin later.

Lehmann and Katich can both bowl a bit too, so perhaps they will use these two as the extra spinners.
