If Cameron Smith is outed for 2 games for his grapple tackle last weekend, Australia will be without it's starting Hooker and incumbent Capt.

It's easy enough to give Locky the Captaincy and leave it with him, but with Bedsy out, who will be Australia's Number 9...??

lockyer is our national captain and will be the captain no matter what, smith was filling in for him while he was injured.

farah should be the hooker, he is the second best aussie number 9 and his form over the last couple of years warrants it.

in saying that, if the storm make the gf smith will have served his 2 match suspension anyway in which case i would expect the selectors to pick only one specialist hooker and a utility such as gidley who could fill in if smith is hurt.

I know its not the be all end all, but Ennis was not even named in the 46 man squad. So you would assume Farah will get a run. Particularly if he has a good game for the PM's side.

Hendo will definitley be playing hooker in the World Cup, for Scotland. He is the form hooker of the NRL.

Henderson is captain of Scotland and probably the main guy who got them through the qualifiers - but he would be a lunatic to pass up a chance to play for Aus if it came up. His manager would tell him he would be knocking back a million dollars if he chose Scotland over Aus.

I think Gidley will be the backup hooker in games, and he is perfectly capable of playing a full game if he has to.
