If we can't match their forwards we will lose the 2nd test as well.
I thought out forwards looked bigger, but their forwards seemed very strong

I think the wet weather definitely suits the English while a more drier pitch would definitely suit the Aussie backline.

Holden Cup doesn't exist anymore but a few of the boys would have Jersey Flegg experience
their line speed was very impressive but I think our biggest issue was errors, poor Tasi Niu made at least 3-4 errors in about 45 mins before he got hooked. Another thing I noticed is some of our bigger kids look abit shocked by the defence, I think some of the kids like Ratu Nanova and Franklin Pele have probably never played against kids who can tackle before and struggled abit when they came up against guys who are abit older and used to playing against mature opposition

A cursory check of two lads you mention. Tells me that Holroyd has played two SL games and Oliver Wilson one game for Bradford in the Championship.

Bradford played in the 3rd tier this past season, but i think I'm right in saying they did get promoted

England are producing some great kids, there are two (recently turned) 17 year olds who may have been in the team but for injury, one had to cancel a trial with an NRL club because of his injury.
Plus not many people may know yet but fullback, wing or centre Herbie Farnworth who is from the Wigan area is one of the best prospects at the Brisbane Broncos.
Next years England Academy team u/18 will be even stronger than this current one.

Doesn’t farnworth regularly play for the broncos feeder team in the Queensland cup?

Half Time in the 2nd Test Match

    England 16 - 6 Australia

England dominating down the middle again and reaping the reward of good field position. After an early England penalty by Harry Smith, Australia went ahead against the run of play via Star To’a off a Dearden box kick. Stephen Critchon converted from the side of the posts

England responded very quickly with strong forward play from Holdroyd on the right resulting in slick passing play sending Full Back Jack Welsby scything through. Magnificently converted by Smith from the touchline.

More strong play from Mustapha & Smithies saw Welsby score his second try once again converted from far out by Smith

Smith kicked a 50metre penalty to give us the half time score of 16-6

England dominating most aspects of the 1st half with Harry Smith once again dictating the game and utilising a very mature kicking game. England’s defence is bullying their Australian counterparts who just can’t make yards are losing the collision and control of the ruck speed.

England Academy Vs Australian Schoolboys 2nd Test Match
    2nd Half

Australia tried to play with more ambition in an attempt to break through the solid England defensive line. A couple of late offloads created half breaks but the opportunities were quickly shut down by England.

Jack Smith took advantage of some panic in the Australian defence which resulted in a kickable penalty Eng 18 - 6 Aus

Australia then enjoyed 10 minutes of great pressure on the England line but couldn’t find their way through to score. Inevitably England began to have their say again and forced the Australians into a midfield armwrestle with both teams enjoying periods of territorial pressure.

Englands Callum McLelland narrowly missed with a drop goal

Australia forced a drop out and were held up over the line twice as England looked to cope with their increasingly more desperate and adventurous opponents.

England weathered the storm with committed defence and composure with ball in hand to see the game out winning the match and the series.

The margin of the win, in terms of quality, was quite significant. The Australians were physically and technically outmatched for a change.

Final Score England Academy 18 - 6 Australian Schoolboys

    England win the series 2 - 0
