So how did he have Farrah ahead of Cam Smith?

Cause Farah was probably the best player in the series either side. Smith didn't do anything wrong but Farah was superior

The Hodges selection was tough. Tbh.....I don 't think he had much impact at all in games 1 & 2. A lot better in game 3

Outside backs are tough in general.
- neither fullbacks (slater/stewart) were great
- All four wingers Hayne, boyd, tate and b.morris (although only 1 game) played well.
- all centres (j.morris, hodges, inglis and jennings) were strong
- halves were a complete walkover to thirsty and cronk

I certainly thought that QLD's bench props were better than our starters. Matt Scott doesn't seem to have the same penetration through the line as he had last year. I think some of the injuries he's had have affected his form this season.

Smith was better than Robbie.

Lol Farah was a lot better than Smith in all three games and I guarantee Smith would say the same. Smith was effective and quiet but Farah f**king carried the entire state to within 1 point of winning. Smith had little to do with the outcome of any of the games.

Farah was very good, but please...

Team of the series.

1. Brett Stewart
2. Jarryd Hayne
3. Josh Morris
4. Greg Inglis
5. Brent Tate
6. Jonathan Thurston
7. Cooper Cronk
8. Mat Scott
9. Cam Smith (c)
10. Dave Shillington
11. Nate Myles
12. Greg Bird
13. Paul Gallen

14. Robbie Farah
15. Luke Lewis
16. James Tamou
17. Corey Parker

Smith > Farah may draw some criticism. From where I sat, Farah did more than Smith, however he also made more costly errors than his counterpart. I thought Smith's leadership played a big part in Qld's success & his involvement was mostly positive.

Thought when all was said and done, Queensland ended up having the better props and that's also reflected. I thought Grant & Tamou were a little overrated, they had some good touches but were a bit MIA. Thought Shillington was the best prop of the series when all was said and done.

Stewart was a bit of a default selection, his 3 tries really helped his cause. Didn't think much of his involvement otherwise.

I think a Qld: 9 NSW: 8 representation is pretty fair.

No doubt Cameron Smith is the better player overall but please if NSW were to win Farah would of deservedly won man of series.

As it's been said Farah basically carried the playmakers role that whole game because the majority of the game Pearce and Carney created nothing. Sure you can look at that error at the end but without him there they probably wouldn't of even been that close in the first place. He also played 60 or so minutes semi concussed while being targeted the whole game. How would of Smith coped in the same situation?

I'm not sure of the stats but surely they speak for themself. Farah > Smith this origin series.

I thought Stewart was terrible in game one, absolutely diabolical.

To most posters picking him believe that he made up for it in games 2 and 3 or has so much time passed that people have forgotten?

Farah came up with plenty of errors, not just the one.

Smith was very good & lifted when the side needed him to. Farah didn't and whinged to the refs.

Canard - How was Stewart terrible? He did his job just fine and outplayed his opposite.

Farah made two errors. Including the one where he got knocked out so he is excused for that. And then apart from that bad defensive error/questionable try which he probably wouldn't of got to anyway, what did he do so bad?

Like I said before, I'd like to see how you go semi concussed for 60 mins of the game, no creative halves and on the brink of a 7th straight origin loss.

Well concussion error doesn't count. However he tries to milk a penalty and gives up entirely on his team because milking a penalty instead of playing rugby league is how the game was meant to be played. Of course you forgot that he dropped the ball cold then blamed the entire world without three minutes to go. No integrity whatsoever.

He's on the field so stiff shit. If he was concussed he should have been taken off and kept off for his own health.

I'm not saying he was s**t or anything but when compared to Smith he can't afford to have those type of errors, especially during pivotal moments.

I'm not excusing him any of those mistakes, they were all plain bad. He also put in a stupid kick when the Blues had the ascendency in the early period. It was the wrong option.

Excuses...excuses.....

Smith >>>>>>> Farah

That's a fact jack

Well obviously. I even stated that in my first post.

However the OP said make an Australian side based off this origin series form. Clearly Farah was the superior dummy half this SERIES. don't know why that is so difficult to understand for all these one eyed queenslanders

Because he wasn't.

I stated Smith's leadership also gave him the nod.

You'd expect so given he is the Melbourne Storm, Australian and Queensland captain not to mention he has played with those same core group of players for a number of years. In saying that, you would probably never see Smith make a fundamental mistake and I have seen him turn games around in a blink of an eye all by himself.

Let's just say they are both great players and we'll leave it at that.

No....quite clearly this is yet another example of NSW hyperbole. Farah went alright

FFS.....in a team like NSW, he stands out.

But

Smith makes all the right calls for his side every time. He never wavers from being an absolute professional. His leadership is inspirational and he is constantly probing for a way to give the likes of JT, Cronk & Slater/Inglis room to do their thing. A lot of what Cam Smith does goes unnoticed purely on the back of Cam Smith just being Cam Smith......it's just expected as the usual performance. Smith's usual performance is at an extremely high level.

Farah/NSW do something that doesn't involve bumbling over their own feet and they get rated by the NSW jizz bots as superstars.

Smith >>>>> Farah in the 2012 SOO series. Not by the normal grand canyon standards, but greater non the less.

Some of Farah's carrying on was a total disgrace btw.......he has to lose points for that as well.
