Whats wrong with the quarantine laws? Genuine question.

Better to be safe than sorry, I’d have thought. Equine Flu is going through the UK right now. Shit like that can happen easily and f**k the industry up royally.

There’s safe and that’s fine and there is stupid. The old laws were fine. Instead let’s make horses have a month before they can race in Australia...that will make overseas owners really want to bring their horses out here..no wonder our major races only attract second string internationals. Not as if Hong Kong is some 3rd world country and horses there are treated like kings!

Some? Try all of them!

They are lucky The Autumn Sun isn’t running. Waller probably just laughed at the field

Yep, Waller and Messara hate easy money...

Didn't Beauty Generation start its career in Australia? I know you keep going on about how good it would be if it came down here but HK Group 1 form really isn't that great and it wouldnt see which way Winx went if they raced each other over a mile.

Beauty Generation had 7 starts in Aus before going to hong kong.

2nd behind Cruise Power on Debut (never heard of the f**ker)
beat Lord High spirit (Ditto)
beat the great Kellyville Flyer (country championship grade horse)
3rd behind press statement (Now we're talking)
5th behind Le Romain (it was a good 3 in the Randwick Guineas. May have been unlucky)
2nd Splitting Tarzino and Jameka in the Rosehill Guineas (not bad)
4th behind Preferment, who shot the barman and Grand Marshal in the BMW (get Wallered ya fkn donkey)

Speaking of getting Wallered, None of the hores that ran in any of the races Beauty generation has ever contested have beaten Winx.

It's probably improved a fair bit since then and was competitive in top grade here but would be a waste of time coming to Aus as there are alot of 1600m WFA horse who are better than it.

Just look at the All Star Mile field for proof of that

It’s a MUCH better horse now. In fact the trainer basically said that after the last group 1 race than unlike before he came to him, it doesn’t have any weaknesses. You lead, it has the best finish, you let it lead it has the best stamina. Good gate or bad gate it’s the best over a mile. I don’t rate HK racing as the best but when a good one comes along you just know.

Have no doubt it would have won multiple group 1’s had it stayed in Australia. I still have hope the quarantine laws are relaxed a bit so there is a carrot for Beauty Generation to come down under again. In my view it would beat our milers.

Really excited to see the Silver Slipper tomorrow, you have the favourite and two outstandingly bred million dollar colts and McLaren who looked well above average in his only start and time to Reign the forgotten horse. It's very exciting as You would say.

Fair enough. I don’t know what the previous laws were but our local bred horses (staying) seem to struggle enough against those second stringers.

From memory it was about half the time as it is now for an international horse to compete. That was more than reasonable. It isn’t just HK but rather other jurisdictions. I’d love more international horses coming over. Our horses will only get better by facing overseas horses regularly in my view.

I know I’ve said it before but the ol’ Bern Dawg, Bernadette Cooper really gets me fizzed up in the barriers.

She seems to get better every time I see her. Hasn’t been tipping too many winners but I’d let her get me up on the bridle.

I do like her tip of Alpine Dancer at decent e/w odds in the 6th at Eagle Farm.

I’ve been following him too and if he gets up this weekend, Bern could help herself to another corn jack.

Purely price generated I’m on Time to Reign who was a complete forgive run last start and I’m getting a price to find out. The two colts are good horses though. You’ve probably outlined the trifecta in some order.
