the ride on Jennifer Eccles in the NZ Oaks was as good a ride as you will see

Jason Waddell is the best jockey in NZ. Best tactical jock by a mile and always has his horse in the race one way or another. Wasted in NZ tbh would love to see him get a chance in Aus.

Unlike your NZ cat, he's won a few tough group 1's in a row in different jurisdictions. AB shouldn't have run in retrospect, it had been up for a long time. The money was massive though so do I blame the owners, no. LOL costing MB the race, you are kidding, was beaten fair and square.

Lucky for you Te Akau Shark is actually good and has won races in Australia, and placed in a Cox Plate. Way better form lines. The only issue this week is the price, I'm not taking evens on a day that is very prone to roughies.

Melody Belle has had four runs in Aus now since last spring for one dominant win, a woeful Opie ride cost her the 2nd up victory last year. She had one lead in run here first up for a 3rd at Leaderfield and then her unlucky third in the ASM. Doesnt take a smart man to know she should really be 3/4.

Could have, wouldn't have, should have. It's won 1 that's it. Stop putting Opie on board and you may have some chance, it's always advantageous to get a local jockey in general. That isn't an excuse though, horse isn't as good as Te Akau Shark anyway.
