Kings Stand on at 12:40 tonight.

Coolongatta $4.50, Cannonball $24.

I just noticed the Williams’ have a runner in the last at $9.50 too.

The only way I’d be watching that is if Aussies are still chasing, which I don’t think is likely.

Think it's between the Gatta and Highfield Princess, a freakishly good sprinter who can sit anywhere in the run.
The first race with Modern Games & Inspiral looks like a cracker as well. Probably hit the hay after the Stand race.

Shortsbet have lured me in with a boosted odds offer on Coolangatta. Had a little nibble e/w at Canonball & the Aussie quinella too. God give them hair extensions!!

Yuk bad start for the Aussies. I’ve always thought you need a genuine 1200 metre horse to race in the Kings Stand and a 1400 metre horse to run in the Diamond Jubilee due to the track.

Cannonball is a greyhound and Coolangatta is definitely best over 1000m

Running strongly through the line over 1200 is surely a good guide as to whether they get the 5 furlongs down the Ascot straight, Gatta was always a risk unless it was over 800....
