Away ends for NRL games?

Unlike union in Super League we have away ends for away supporters.......I always think it's a real advantage we have over union for atmosphere.....really gets the crowd going when we can bait each other 😁 ....like in football

So much so the union sides here are starting to do it (Harlequins)

Has anyone in the NRL considered it? Would really be a great addition having all the away fans in one spot ..... Could only add to the atmosphere

The Warriors fans seemed to own one end last night and it definitely showed. Would be great to see more of that at games

That's what got me thinking...... Really pumped everyone up..... Can't beat being an away fan in a little minority spot...... Always looks a bit weird seeing fans so mixed in NRL

Every stadium in the nrl should have an away supporters bay and a home supporters bay.

In Newcastle we do have an away bay but I think it should be one of the bays in the andrew johns stand as bay 60 isn't the best view from there.

Every ground has an away supporters bay usually, it really depends on travelling numbers as to how good it looks.

Most clubs then also have a home supporters bay (Kennel, Burrow, Chookpen etc) but it really comes down to the club and how it organises

I recall going to a lower division English soccer game back in the day, and there were only about a 100 away fans there at one end … the crowd repeatedly chanted “ you all came in a taxi” throughout the game

The Storm tend to sit supporters at each end of the ground behind the dead ball line down at AAMI Park.

Outside of them, I can't think of any clubs that do. The best view, in most people's opinions, is to be on the side, parrallell to the touchlines. They don't want to be behind the deadball line.

Oh yeah I get the view is bad for away fans often....that's the point 😂

At Headingly we have 3 amazing stands with covers/bars and all mod cons....we stick the d***head away fans on the Western terrace....an old concrete slab with no cover....if it isn't raining we stick the hoses on the pricks !

Storm have home fans behind the goals at both ends - away fans usually get a pocket in Aisle 10 or 11 from memory, in the south eastern corner.

Always thought this for the big Sydney venues. Only sell home memberships in three stands and keep the other end stand for away fans. Offer reciprocal membership to those clubs who also play in a nsw venues stadium and put them in the end stand along with any non away members that attend. Would add to the crowd and the atmosphere.

bulldogs, roosters, souths, eels, tigers could all do this. Fans of these clubs would then get 4 extra bonus games on their full membership.

The NRL should take charge of some aspects of things usually left to clubs. For example they should try to get stronger fan club organisations for each of the clubs. I think the european soccer clubs have almost gang like supporter clubs and they travel and sit together etc - its probably the same with AFL clubs (we don't want the thug aspect of soccer but surely they can get much stronger fan groups).
